Tonight's episode is titled "I'm a Wolf, Baby".

I watched it tonight but was so uninterested (because of predictability) that I didn’t even see who was voted out. Even though I’m sure I know who it was. The journeys bore me. The 26 days of starvation and heat bore me. The predictability bores me. I guess I don’t care that it is Fiji all the time because tropical is tropical. I miss people searching for and using a plain old idol. I guess this show has officially jumped the shark in my eyes. I miss the OG Survivor.

I still enjoy Survivor. It’s a great show for numerous reasons. The cinematography is fantastic. The social interaction is very interesting. The endurance factor and a whole bunch of things make it a great show. However, I do agree that this season so far has been sadly predictable. I guess it just happens sometimes. You just can’t be great all the time. Ironically, not being great all the time, actually adds to the realism of the show.

I can’t help but feel it’s the editing and Jeff’s need to have them talk about how hot and difficult it is out there. We get it Jeff. We get it. This is the first episode where I thought enough about it already. If the yellow team insists on keeping Sophi, they deserve to lose week after week. I’m still enjoying the season but the number of people I’m rooting for has gone drastically down, lol.

I fell asleep and missed the competition.. I don't need to hear chickens being slaughtered by people who don't know how to do that. I guess the pace of the new era doesn't make eggs as valuable and it is quicker to just eat the chickens.

I couldn't understand why they plucked the feathers right where they live. First, seeing those feathers will be a constant reminder of what they had to do, and 2nd, it is such a mess that they will be constantly battling.

Julie, you hit the nail on the head for me. I've had issues with Survivor since the "new era" started. However, in spite of all the criticism, Jeff has dug his heels in and will not go back to "old school." Kappy, you are also correct about Jeff wanting them to talk about it because of "muh feelings." And I also fell asleep before the competition and pretty much missed everything.

For a change I stayed awake for the whole 90 minutes. Jason voted out.

This episode seemed to be targeting Shannon as an early vote out. She was making inroads until Steven proceeded to undermine her entire game. For a team that only had 2 men, the yellow team shows the strength of women on Survivor. Unless you’re needing to kill chickens. 😉 I feel bad for Sophi, she hasn’t eaten anything but coconuts for 10 (?) days. She has no strength left. I noticed it most in the tribal. She was very quiet and her body language was of someone who had nothin left in the tank. I think that, if she gets a meal or 2, she’ll be a force to reckon with. You don’t go through all that without some resolve.

It’s odd, I think, that of all the OG things they could choose from, killing chickens is the thing they chose??! I had to FF through that whole part because to me it’s just unnecessarily cruel. And it’s what I hated in the early 2000s. But at least then it seemed to fit in a bit better… can’t quite say why though.

I'm still enjoying survivor. I have always hated the eating of the chickens. But I eat chicken. I understand they are starving. Jeff has talked about how this was the second hottest season ever. I'm not sure how more of then are not dropping from exhaustion.
