I was pleasantly surprised by how gracious Annie was in the way she exited. Nice to see how much she appreciated the game.

I’ve watched some videos by past Survivor players and one thing that they commented on was just how difficult it is to come back once you’re on a losing streak. Everything is so much harder. Getting back to camp, having suffered the loss and then having to struggle through the whole stress of deciding who to vote out, then making the long trip to Tribal Council, spending a lot of time at Tribal Council, voting someone out and then making the trip back. All of this without a flint and without any provisions. It’s very very tough.

Meanwhile your competitors are just enjoying time at camp regaining strength or making their camp better.

It’s a hard cycle to break.

I wish they would just give all tribes the supplies. I dont enjoy watching them struggle and starve. I dont think it would take away from the drama or excitement of watching the show. It would make it more fair. Again we have the same tribe losing over and over like so many other seasons

It could be just editing but I felt like many of those in confessionals were really unpleasant.

I agree that Annie took her being booted with surprising grace!

The prize on the trip was a new one, I think.. I have heard thst some things are bring tested for season 50.

Well there was a possibility of losing the vote, if the winner chose for himself instead of for the Veeam.
And when choosing for the team, they should have chosen the worst team to give a delay too so they had a water chance to not lose. But again they were so bad, they should have just all gone home.

One of my biggest pet peeves in the "new era" is that they are not given supplies and I hate that Jeff takes the flint away from the losers. He knows the fans absolutely hate it but he's kind of dug his heels in on this issue.

Annie was extremely gracious on her way out. I think she must be a true fan of the show and can appreciate a good blindside.

Jeff Probst explains why he told 'Survivor 49' editors to leave in all his mistakes, including messing up player names and struggling to catch his breath.

“I don't really recall any season other than maybe Cambodia, when we had three people go down in one challenge, that was this hot,” Probst says on the podcast. “It was stifling. It was hard to think.”

Yep, I really hate that they don't all get equal supplies. I actually kind of enjoyed seeing who took charge of building the shelters each season, and who could make fire and who could not. I bet we ALL remember that season when NOBODY could use the flint, and some dorky kid used his thick glasses and the sun to make fire, and it worked!!!

Is this a trend? First team to lose, keeps losing. And losing? Didn’t this happen last season?

Julieboo - From recollection of what Jeff said on the most recent episode - yes, there have been previous underdog teams who kept losing all the way to the merge, and then the surviving individuals of those games went far into the game after the merge.

Oopsie, looks like I answered the wrong question, but I will leave my reply there, because it also answers another point.
