And don't be fooled by scenes from NYC. Mondami has done a great job of clearing the snow, and it looks like no big deal.

I just shoveled a short path to the bird feeder and shook all the snow off it and the suet feeder so the birds that were waiting could eat. The snow comes up to my knees. It must be 2 feet deep.

I have gorgeous weather, for the time being, the skies are blue and clear, it feels like spring it's so nice and warm. Temps going up to 70. It's supposed to cloud up later this afternoon for our one day storm starting tonight. I think I might get some rain around 3am, and then showers for the rest of the day.

It's lovely out, there are still blue skies but some of those rolling clouds in various colors. I guess we aren't going to get rain in my area til after sunset. Mostly raining up in Marin and North. Temps are currently 63, going up to 68.

It is part of the bay area, San Ramon is sort of in between San Jose and Walnut Creek. A lot of people communte from there to SF. Sometimes I feel the earthquakes from there but not all the time. It's on the Calaveras Fault, a 75-mile-long strike-slip fault capable of producing significant earthquakes, and is frequently responsible for "earthquake swarms" (clusters of small quakes) in the area.

Hot! Well not actually hot but it feels hot because we seem to have a lot of humidity. It's 75, going to 77. Skies are blue with some small fluffy clouds with a very slight breeze. It's warm enough that I have multiple fans going to at least circulate the air.

severeweatherus 23m Likely a tornadic waterspout, potentially a large one just occurred near Highland Beach, Florida. Boca Raton and Highland Beach, Florida. Let us know if you saw hail, wind or waterspouts. Regardless of tornadoes/wind/hail, this system is bringing well-needed (but not drought busting) rainfall to southern Florida. Conditions could support a tornado or two, as well. Have multiple ways to receive warnings!

Hot. Last night I left the window PPE and had to find the remote to the fan an install batteries (I didn't take the fan with me to where I stayed so the last I would have used it was fall of 2024.
