The sun is out, temporarily I think, and we have some blue skies but there are also some angry looking clouds rolling thru.

We have a good breeze, the birds are chirping away - when they stop I better bring in the cushions. Hmmm, the news forecasts said there might be showers today but weather.com says no rain for me.

Temps are going to 54. There is an extreme cold warning, never seen this before, for 1am to 9am Friday.

I can't believe this. This wasn't in the forecast yesterday.

We're expected to get a blizzard Sunday night/Monday. 2 feet possible.

Yesterday, they were saying possible 3 inches.

I still have snow on the ground from the last storm that was what? 3 weeks ago?

Put a fork in me, I'm done.

Sea, no. We haven't had a week yet that hasn't had more than a night or 2 that is above freezing. And with the way the mail is these days with how long it takes for something to get through the system, I'm not risking it. It used to take 3 days for something to get to me, now I have no clue.

Hurricane Hunters are en route to investigate the developing Nor’Easter and potentially historic blizzard! This is the first of three scheduled missions to gather data that will help with forecasts!
Blizzard Warnings are in effect from Virginia to Massachusetts including New York City, Dover, Newark, Providence, Cape Cod and Boston.
1 to 2 FEET (if not more) of snow is expected.
This will be a storm remembered for a long time.

It's lightly snowing here. It's started.

I put away my rag rug in the laundry room and put down the 2 washable pee pads that I have. There's no way I'll be able to get my dachshund outside in 2 feet of drifting snow. And he hasn't pooped yesterday or today.

Hopefully, he'll use them (he won't) and not go on the rugs in the other rooms.

They've upped the snow amount we can get to 27".

And with the wet snow and 60 mph wind gusts we'll be having, I expect we'll lose power tonight or tomorrow.

It's really starting to come down now.

Im guessing about 15 inches of snow so far. Still snowing. Very windy.

I went out the back door to shovel a 2 foot clearing for the dog. The problem is, where do you put the snow? And it's heavy snow to boot.

And don't be fooled by scenes from NYC. Mondami has done a great job of clearing the snow, and it looks like no big deal.

I just shoveled a short path to the bird feeder and shook all the snow off it and the suet feeder so the birds that were waiting could eat. The snow comes up to my knees. It must be 2 feet deep.
