Big drop in temperatures here in San Antonio. Yesterday was quite nice around 84-86F with low humidity and a light breeze. Today it is 64F with occasional gusts. Not a patio day.

It's 54° now and has been overcast all day, and no wind. Perfect weather for working out in the yard all day. Rain tomorrow.

Sugar, sorry you are having that weather and the water in the basement. I hope you don't have to much. My aunt was using her hose for the first time this year to water things outside, a few days ago. She didn't know that the frost free handle she had put on last year actually did freeze and break over the winter and the water was pouring into her basement. It was a huge mess with ceiling tiles coming down and water all over the place. She was lucky her tenant had come home and saw the water, otherwise it would have been much worse.

Water damage is the worst and insurance deductibles the highest. And with recent changes at the national weather service, like not sending up weather balloons, the likelihood of timely warnings is disappearing. In the case of tornadoes, this can be deadly. It is thought that late warnings or lack of, contributed to deaths or injuries in the recent Kansas tornadoes.

We're going down to 31 tonight and 27° tomorrow. Ridiculous.

Wet. Very wet. We need it but it came as a surprise to drop 30 degrees yesterday, today, and until Wednesday after we’d been in the very comfortable low to mid 80s. We need the rain but not what we hoped for Carey’s first few weeks of retirement.

It's a cloudy day, but I see a bit of blue sky, we are supposed to get some rain today - 80% chance around 3pm. There is no breeze and temps are going to 64.

Lots of rain here at Casa de Mack. 3 1/4 inches in the last 24 hours and still coming down. Lots of alerts on our cell phones of flooding. Most of it is down in the San Antonio city area which is relatively a flat valley and considerably lower than where we are up here north of town. Needless to say we had no plans to go out so are safe and sound. Wet for sure but not flooded.

Just watched a local weather report and some parts of San Antonio city proper have gotten over 5 1/2 inches of rain. As I said it is relatively flat in what I call the valley but it’s actually a very big and flat plateau. It is subject to flooding, usually the flash flood kind, and there have been dozens of high water rescues already. Right now they forecasting another heavy round of rain between 9 and 10 PM CDT.

Fairly gorgeous spring day here. Mostly sunny, and there are MANY flowering trees and bushes all over town.

Not sure of exactly our total at the house but this morning my weather station monitor is showing 4 inches of rain in the last 24 hours. There’s a high pressure system kind of stuck in the Gulf and it just keeps pumping moisture into central Texas. Quiet right now with maybe a very light drizzle but it is forecast to crank back up this afternoon. And you’re right Seamonkey not having Carey even commute to work much less have to travel out of town is nice.

Cloudy skies with friendly and mean clouds, LOL. No breeze with sporatic showers expected. Although it looked like heavy rain up in Marin and north. It looks cold but feels nice out with temps going to 60.

Looks like the high pressure system has moved to the east in the Gulf so we might get some light rain but nothing significant. Still just damp, cool, and no sun breaking through the overcast. As I posted we needed the rain but a break would be nice. We were in the middle of spring planting when this all started and we’d like to get it set before we go off to Europe in mid May.
