The cuts to weather satellites will set the country back nearly a decade, experts warn per CNN. The loss of data used to observe, forecast and research extreme weather could prevent the US from making major advances in weather forecasting.
We need weather satellites. Any gap in satellite coverage, which weather forecasters need, would take away or severely limit vital weather observations and could worsen forecast accuracy in even more per CNN.

A fire broke out on the border of Berkeley and Oakland sending a plume of smoke up from the hills, a frightening sight for many residents on this 35th anniversary of the deadly fire in 1991. Fire officials say the smooth response Tuesday shows the many changes that were made since the 1991 fire.

This large and dangerous FLOOD WAVE will continue moving down the San Juan River in southeast Utah and Southwest Colorado causing widespread catastrophic flooding.
This is life-threatening and emergency situation! Towns at risk include Bluff, Montezuma Creek, Aneth, Mexican Hat, Halchita and Tselakai Dezza.
A river crest of 43.6 feet would be record shattering by more than 11 feet and devastating for communities along the San Juan River.
People in these areas need to evacuate NOW!
