Was it a year ago or 2 that we had renovations done in the house. I watched a gazillion YouTube videos on white paint colors. I just about drove myself crazy. It's quite a rabbit hole. And you have to take things into consideration, like what direction the sun comes into the room. It's so funny, yesterday I was going through a box of papers and I found my notes on all the different whites there are. If you want to watch some YouTube, Julie Khue is really good.

And after all the time I wasted, I ended up with Manor White. I think the color was originally made by True Value hardware and it doesn't exist anymore. Don't be fooled by other brands if they have the same name. What I had done when we sold my mother's house was cut a slice of the paint off the wall and saved it. That's how great the color is. Then I took it to the hardware store and they used their computers to make a match of it. It's not really a white. Maybe more of a dull straw color, but not quite that. There may be some peachy undertones to it in certain light. But its a a nice, relaxing warm color that goes with everything.

And for you, I am willing to go back to the hardware store and if they still have it in their system, I will get a sample size container and send it to you.

As for the trim, another story. More YouTube videos. I wanted my bathroom a white-white. He insisted on a huge walk-in shower. So, on the one wall in the shower, we put up these large pieces of tile that the white and gold veins in the stone makes it look like the ocean or rolling clouds. But what I found out after testing some whites on the walls and with the lighting, that tile made the walls look gray. I freaked out and got depressed with the thought of a gray bathroom. But, I found a good solid white that is just called "white" that has zero undertones in it, and it covers with just one coat. (Some might need as many as 3 coats to get that look. I painted the walls and the trim that color, and used it for my ceilings and trims in the other rooms. I need to find the can in the basement to see what brand it is, because I never saw the name on any of those paint color booklets that you pick up at paint stores. But it was most likely Benjamin Moore, if not, then Sherwin Williams.

As to not being able to have stainless steel, you're probably better off. The outside is difficult to keep clean looking and magnets don't stick to them.

Kylie M Interiors is another great reviewer of paint colors. She tells you the undertones in the paint and will hold up other colors to it to show how the undertones work.

I just don't want stainless.

My options will be limited somewhat since work will be done as part of the rebuild of my gutted condo. Right not most walls are absent.

I met the new neighbors in my building (4 units) and they are doing a lot of work themselves. They have 2 active little kids and she said her mom takes them a couple of days a week.. Lives close by at Mariners Point mobile home park. That is where I am temporarily living! And her mother lives right across from us. Crazy.

I would say 99.9% of the time, I am on my big tower computer at a desk in my living room.

The .1% is split between my other devices.

I remember back when almost everyone had a desktop here, except for a very few with a laptop. They were so expensive.

I don't have a living desk top or that would be it.

My laptop mostly used for zooms and other seminars and concerts.

Phone, rarely.. Just too small.

So my Amazon Fire tablet is the go to for tvch.

Dell Latitude laptop on a docking station with an external monitor. Some of you may remember Car54 from the very early days. She was always touting that all of us should be getting Dell Latitudes and docking stations, and I may have been the only one who actually did. Otherwise I would still be using a desktop. But, of course, this configuration is just like using a desktop.

I do have an iPad which I take when I travel, but I also take the Latitude (now obsolete) laptop and usually end up using it, especially if it is a long trip.

We are going on a 5-day trip for a wedding later this month, and I may consider just taking the iPad (well, AND phone). I suppose I could consider just taking the iPhone, but I am a suspenders AND belt person, so even traveling without the laptop can give me mild trepidations. I will probably risk it, though, I mean iPad and iPhone, no laptop. Baby steps for us seniors.
