BIG NEWS: The bill I’ve worked on with @flsenrickscott, @repgregsteube,
@repmikethompson, and @repjimmypanetta to provide tax relief for victims of wildfires, hurricanes and other disasters JUST BECAME LAW.
This bill delivers tax relief to victims of natural disasters through greater deductions, and extends the window during which survivors of fires like Eaton and Palisades can deduct payments from wildfire settlements from their taxes.

I have noticed that they work hard to never have to refer to the gulf of mexico and sometimes just call it the gulf.

The National Weather Service and NOAA is now being required to call Lake Ontario “Lake America”.
We can rename lakes and the Gulf, but still struggle to have regular morning weather balloon launches across the United States and and other major issues at the National Weather Service and NOAA?

Earth just had the hottest August on record.
The El Niño was one of a few of the drivers of the climate in August per WMO.
The El Niño influenced global tropical cyclone activity, causing a historically low Atlantic Hurricane Season and an HYPERACTIVE Pacific Hurricane Season.
The El Niño has also influenced heavy rain and catastrophic floods across several countries, as well as heat waves.
Peak strength of El Niño comes during the winter months, but impacts are already occurring.

The El Niño monitoring region in the east central Pacific Ocean (Niño 3.4) has reached 3°C above average and is just 0.02°C from the all-time record.
This El Niño is now on the verge of becoming the strongest El Niño ever recorded.
