I'm near Redondo Beach and we've gotten rain off and on since yesterday. For me, rain is most welcomed to water my lawns and flowers. It's still a bit humid. I hear that the surfing has been really good all along the coast.

Today is "supposed" to be the last day it hits 100 in the Kansas City area, and then tomorrow starts a trend of upper 80s.
I am so sick of this heat. I couldn't even enjoy this first summer of my new yard and patio. (I moved during the winter).

112 out here in Riverside but not as humid as yesterday. This week has shown me that the extra money I pay to live in So Cal is so worth it. I couldnt deal with this heat/humidity for more than a few days

A brush fire is burning along the 405 Freeway near Getty Center Drive in the Sepulveda Pass.
The fire had grown to approximately 3 acres, and 10 additional fire engines were requested to assist crews responding to the scene.

Law enforcement and local EMA reported life-threatening flash flooding occurring near the Highland County Fairgrounds, with rushing water on SR-73.
Additionally, multiple water rescues are being reported out of Pike County. This is a dangerous flooding situation.
