Oh, I wish I had seen this earlier, about National Senior Citizen Day, as we had a neighborhood outdoor get-together tonight next to our house, and I know we are scaring the 60-somethings to death on occasion, but we all seem to have a good time, and they keep coming back. I figure someone has to teach the kids how to be jovial geriatrics.

Omg! Im making a pork loin tonight, too.
I'm only eating veggies that I can cook for the time being. Unless I go to a local farmstand and see actual dirt on the produce, so I know it's local.

Oh, good points, Grooch. We live VERY close to a number of farms, and I yearn for the minute when the local farm stands open, and then I go often - went to my closest and most favorite both yesterday and today.

Not to worry, Grooch. I mostly just drink tequila and eat fresh-caught Gulf shrimp and Texas red grapefruit and Mexican avocados in far South Texas. Shouldn't they kinda all sort themselves out?
Okay, just kidding about the tequila; we drink Ziegenbock beer in Texas, can't get it in WA, even though it is an Anheuser Busch product.

OK, we liked Brendan but he somehow forgot to order lettuce so we have NO salads!!! I don't know why someone didn't just run over to the 3 grocery stores in a one-mile radius and pick some up, LOL. Brendan will be back today, I think.

He is not taking a single chance that he is going to kill any of the people under his chef-ship at the place where you live. I don't want to get TOO political in this thread, but, quite frankly, it is no longer safe to eat lettuce in the USA.
I happen to live in the Pacific Northwest, where we can both go to local farmer's markets, but can also go directly to farms. If any of you members still here can do that - do that - go to local farms.
