RN, I find that particularly if it’s later in the evening, I just don’t feel the inclination to “work” at finding entertainment using my computer and a bunch of different sources. Cable is just so easy.

Though I have had success with Roku.

To me, my cable (Comcast/Xfinity) is well worth the cost.

RN I am so excited to try that new JudyDoll mascara! It's supposed to arrive today. Nikki tests viral beauty products to see if they work, so I trust her that it's good stuff.

RN Interested to see if it works, Naja. I have very short lashes that point downward as well. Lately I’ve given up on any mascara at all.

RN, and bad news for you kids - applying eye makeup is one of the skills that goes downhill fast in old age.

I gave up mascara when I started wearing contact lenses and never started again when I went back to glasses and now I am back to no glasses after cataract surgery, but no mascara.

I hope you love it Naja.

RN Well, I loooove the new mascara, but...... I didn't know I was supposed to get the mascara remover, too! LOL

Make up remover pads didn't work. Soap and water didn't work. Face cream didn't work. It doesn't wash off or smudge. I slept in it and there was no racoon eye. It was so weird.

But YES, it works. Curl them first. I can't believe I woke up and my mascara was perfect. I didn't know that would be part of the magic. I think this stuff would be great to wear swimming and at outdoor sweaty hot or rainy events. I bet it would work all weekend camping with one application.

ok, off to buy the remover. LOL

Thank you, Jimmer. I'm planning to go see the local fireworks tonight if it doesn't rain. It will most likely the last time I ever go see them. Im only going because it's 250 years.

RN NBC is repeating their "Sail 4th 250". It's all the tall ships sailing through NY Harbor. I caught the last hour of it before and I am going to rewatch it now. It is a lovely thing to watch to celebrate the US 250th birthday. I got teary eyed seeing the Staten Island Ferry going by holding her own with all those tall ships. I don't know why, I've never rode it before. I guess its just the New York in me.

And I am on a cruise ship in Alaska, playing trivia with Bigdog and an extremely intelligent couple from England, who are very diligent trivia players, so they, of course, spent an hour or so today brushing up on American history, and I carried most of the answers, but also took the team down with wrong answers (well, not really down down, we just didn't win, after we had seven consecutive wins last week; we are doing back2back cruises, as are our partners). Anyhow, that is how we spent our 250th celebration of our quite remarkable country in what I sincerely hope is not a historical cyclical descent of decline.

RN I hope you're having a great time, Juju!

RN This morning I met the cutest kitty that followed me around the front of the house. He was digging in my flower pot. He's so sweet!
