If you don't hear from her tomorrow, call the hospital to see if she was admitted.

Mack.. I wonder if the current Pope has been to the summer residence yet.. Or maybe in the past as a visitor?

RN Today is a sea day on our way to Malta so no port today.

Seamonkey - The current Pope has been to the summer residence and has planned to spend July and August there so no tours while he’s there. Interestingly he supposedly asked if was better if he stayed in Rome or went to the summer palace. The answer was more people could take vacations if he was at the summer palace rather than at the Vatican so he opted for the summer residence. Same thing with the Pope moving back into the Papal apartment. Easier to support him in the apartment so he moved in.

RN Sea, she knew she was going to be admitted already. It was her doctor over the phone that told her to get to the emergency room and he would be there soon.

RN, Naja, I hope your client is okay. It's not likely the hospital will tell you anything because of HIPAA laws, unfortunately. Did she also leave you an emergency contact in case you can't reach her?

I am guessing Naja might BE the emergency contact.

RN Oh yes. Emergency contact is one of the required fields on the form for a stay. I have her sister's number.

Karuuna. Hospitals can and do tell if a person is there, admitted or in the ER, or not there. I have tracked friends down that way many times, and recently.

RN Rusty's Mom just texted me after I sent her a new video of Rusty. She said "I had a mild heart attack and my kidneys failed. Doing dialysis now and hoping my kidneys will start working again. Actually, I'm feeling much better. Love the videos."

Thank God she made it to the hospital in time.

You taking care of Rusty is a big relief for her and helps with her stress. You are an angel, Naja.

RN No wonder her eyes looked so bad. Kidney failure does that.

How awful. I’m so glad Rusty is with you. I agree that those videos must mean the world to her.

RN Today’s port is Salerno and we’ll be off the ship fairly early for a tour of Pompei. This will be our third visit to the site since 2012. We’re hoping to see some of the new discoveries.

RN It’s looking more and more like we’re not getting in to the port. The wind is off the mainland at 40 MPH steady and the ship’s captain is saying it’s not safe to try to dock. Even the port’s pilots who bring ships in to port are not coming out to the ship.

RN We couldn’t get in to the port in Salerno but not far away was a smaller town that was protected from the high winds. Our tour is still happening but four hours later than what was a 9 AM departure.

RN I'm so loopy from lack of sleep that I introduced the same dog twice. LOL
The hurricane dog Stormy that I was talking about a couple weeks ago is here with her Boxer sister names Tigger. As well as Chihuahua Rusty and GSD Roxie.

Mack, is that kind of wind typical there? A friend of mine went on a Mediterranean cruise last year featuring Greece. He was excited, but two days in, he contracted influenza A and was quarantined and since he is compromised with long COVID, had to be evacuated. But the surprise was that he was air lifted from a small island to Athens and the pilot told him it would be the ride of his life due to crazy winds.

As for your trip, good deal that they seem intent on making sure you get these experiences despite any weather issues.. So did you still get to Pompei? Hope so and you got to catch up on new findings.

And thanks for taking us away from the day to day to get nice cruise images, even windy ones.

RN Which dog? All the dogs here now are nice ones. The bad one and her brother are never coming back.

eta: Chihuahua Rusty goes home in a few minutes. His Mom finally got released from the hospital

RN Rusty's mom looked SO much better. Except for the horrendous bruises all up and down her arms. Her eyes were back to normal. I gave her the two extra nights her dog was here for free. She hugged me so tight. She said she's so happy to know someone is there to take care of Rusty when things happen like this in the future.
