Grooch, that worked on my computer, but I usually watch thru xfinity. I'll see if I can tap in directly to Peacock online on my smart tv.

I take that back, the only things available now are the same things available on the tv stations. I'm over this. LOL.

quote:Grooch, no. I go to Peacock via Xfinity, and choose "watch live" and it only shows me what's on the three channels I listed! I wonder why? I'll dig around some more.
Kar, strangely enough since I don't watch much television, I do have some familiarity with xfinity/stream. I do recall that way back when I first discovered it, (maybe 4-5 years ago?) it presented me with 300 channels and asked if I would like to select favorites, so I quick selected the three then-major channels of cbs, abc, and nbc. Now, when I go to watch it, (although I rarely watch live), and I try to search, it does ask me if I want to search all or just my favorites. So, at some point, you may have been asked that question and been distracted, and somehow set search only your favorite channels as your default? That is something I might do in my old age. Continuing to battle cancer is definitely not for sissies. I am grateful for every day you check in here.

Heh, Grooch, was on from 1 am to 3 am here. I was awake because they give me steroids with my chemo, so I watched. Women played a few hours later, but I got spoiled on Facebook, so prolly won't watch. Still rooting for both!

My only irritation with Peacock is that when I try to fast forward to a later portion of a replay, they make me watch more commercials because I refuse to pay for ad free, lol. I've found I can tape the morning programs on regular nbc and just fast forward through the commercials when I watch them later. Otherwise, the Peacock Olympic portal has been pretty great for looking up the sports you actually want to watch. Karunna, I hope you figure out how to access it for yourself. It would be great for you to use for the next week. It was a heartbreaking morning for the top men (and expected gold winners) in ice skating. Both Yuma Kagiyama and Ilia Malinin let their nerves get the better of them and had falls. Yuma dropped to silver and Ilia failed to make the podium. When you go for more difficult moves, you are punished more for not completing them. I look forward to seeing both of them in the next olympics. I'm on to enjoying the alpine skiing and the snowboarding.

Ilia lost 72 points on mistakes. It reality was a gut punch to watch and know he just wanted to cry as soon as it was over. Yet he was so poised and while I feel horrible for Ilia, I love the excitement from the winner Mikhail Shaidorov. If anyone deserved to be the surprise winner, it’s him!

Kappy, I did figure it out. Once I figured out how to navigate it from the app on my laptop (from Grooch's instructions), I can now do it from my tv too! Watched the replay of the women's curling.... wonderful! They sure don't make it intuitive tho! . Or maybe it's just my brain! Ilia did well after that, I would have crumpled into a bawling mess. He congratulated the winner, took the interview well. Only thing he said subtly was that he would have done better had they let him come 4 years ago.... I presume to get over his jitters. Well, hope we see him again in 4 years!

And by the way, I LOVE being able to search by sport now, and find either live coverage, or replays. Watched USA mens' curling this morning... wow!
