If the buyer cannot make this work and they made a deposit, you should definitely keep it.

When I sold my old condo, I had already moved here and nothing was selling. Finally someone man are an offer, their agent told mine they were pre approved. But then it turned out their co signer forgot about a past default. You can bet we kept their deposit. Luckily we got another offer that did go through.

With your buyers, what does your agent say will happen, Naja?

RN Thank you everyone. It felt like a gut punch. I am living among boxes.

They are going to try to find another lender for her. If they can, it will be another couple weeks at least until I can move. Of course if the sellers of the the house I want will wait.

If she can't find another lender, my house will have to go back on the market. And if the sellers of my house won't wait, I'll also have to go house hunting again.

RN So I called xfinity to cancel my move that was scheduled for this weekend. What did they do? Cancelled my whole account instead of the move! Now I am on the phone trying to get it restored.

RN They can't get my old grandfathered in account back. I said if my bill goes up even 1 cent, I'm cancelling. She assured me she's going to get me an even better price. Let's see how that goes

One min later...
Well. now it's $25 over what I pay and they are going to send me to the loyalty dept to get a lower rate.

RN They couldn't get my cheaper grandfathered account back for me, so I got the bare minimum until I move, and then they are history. I will never deal with this company again.

RN I decided to call back and cancel my service completely, but they "miraculously" found a way for me to get my hbo/max back and pay less than before.

Naja,I'm sorry that things are all topsy turvey with moving house. One would think a buyer would have all their ducks in a row with a lender well before 2 days to closing.

RN That's what I would think, Sugar. I think her agent was misrepresenting the situation to my agent. Anyway, we know for sure she has applied with a new lender (this time my agent insisted on being in the loop). Her other lender wouldn't even return my agent's calls. My agent also said we are keeping the deposit if they back out. But I guess this woman wants this house as much as I want the new one, that she was also in tears with what happened. I am willing to wait as long as the owners of the house I want will wait.

RN Yes, sorry.

eta: we start showings again tomorrow. My agent is reporting the lender and the other agent to wherever you report them. Everything they did was shady.

RN It's officially Christmas season for me.

At work, the wreaths and greens are here, poinsettias are arriving tomorrow, decorations (for what they're worth) are up, trees coming from Canada (this could be interesting) on Saturday and the Christmas music is playing. (Same Playlist as last year, how long before I go crazy?) And the usual Christmas fights are bubbling up underneath the surface. I predict the first one will be tomorrow over the poinsettias

RN Naja, it should be fun, but this family is totally dysfunctional and unhappy. It makes things constantly stressful when it shouldn't be.

RN, Well that's good news, Naja.

Grooch, it's a stressful season for a lot of people but your work must add even more. Hope it goes as smoothly as possible.

RN Naja, Praying and crossing my fingers that your house is sold at even more profit the first day of showing and the buyers have their financial ducks in a tidy row.
I'm glad the owners of the house you want offered a few weeks of grace.

Yes, I hope the new showing goes very well and you have a new buyer right away!

And definitely keep that deposit!

Grooch.. I remember going into work after Thanksgiving and the elevator music was old and riddled with Christmas Music, but I suppose your employer wants people buying early and tons of people here decorated right after Halloween, for Christmas..

😑

RN Well, it went back on the market late last night and now I'm just waiting for the showing requests. It's pouring rain today, so I'm not sure how that would affect it. It's 5:45 AM and I've been up since 4 trying to clean, and rearrange the packed boxes so people can get through the house easily. The rooms don;t look near as nice like this! argggg

RN The Poinsettias just pulled in!

It's going to be a busy day unwrapping them, pricing them all, etc. Gotta hop to it!

Naja, I believe it's all gonna work out. Truly.
