RN OMG There are going to be 8 dogs at my house on Thanksgiving, including mine. Thank goodness 3 of them are just daycare and go home that night.

RN I was fiddling with the room visualizer at Empire flooring website because I wanted to see what it will look like when the carpet is gone, and here's what I got 🙂 Before and after.

RN Closing is the 21st on my house and the new house. But we are still waiting on the people who are buying my house. We haven't heard from them yet after their bank sent the appraiser here last Thursday. He smiled and said everything looks great when he left, so I don't know what the delay is. My agent says it usually takes a week, and yesterday was a week.

I consulted the PO's website to see when is the best time to file a change of address, and it says 2 weeks prior to the move is ideal. But then I asked my agent if I should file my change of address since I am supposed to move 2 weeks from today, but she told me to "Hold off". So now I'm nervous again.

How much mail does anyone get anymore? I'd hold off so as not to jinx anything (I'm always worried about that). And you can always go online for the places you still get mail from, and change your address there, if need be.

And you can always get a 2nd opinion from your mailman. He probably knows best about the change thing. And if he's aware, he know not to deliver your mail at your old house. Mail People are usually good that way.

RN It's not the mail I'm worried about. I'm worried about why my agent said to "hold off".

RN have to admit the “hold off” is a bit concerning.

RN, the hold off isn't that concerning. Appraisers can be slow getting their work submitted and even tho everyone else wants speed Appraisers don't always comply with that. It's very annoying in the loan business.

The closing date can still change. Never change your address until you have the keys. If you have any concerns about mail, just have it held at the post office until you move.

RN here's what my agent texted me before I went to bed. I guess it sounds good.

"Lender said working on clear to close for your buyer."

RN: I just texted my cousin about plans for Thanksgiving. She's not coming because she has to work. Her story sounds fishy to me. So, it sounds like it'll be me, my bf and my cousin's mother.

I think I'll start looking into restaurants, or better yet, places that cook the dinner for you and you just bring it home. I'm not cooking a turkey for 3 people. And I don't want to eat out at a restaurant when it's the holidays and germs are freely traveling around having a good old time.

Second place I just checked, it's $300 for a turkey, 3 sides and a crappy pie.

The turkey will feed 10 to 12 people.

OK, third place, it's $28 a pound for the turkey. And between $12 to $14 a lb for sides.

Maybe I'll do a costco Thanksgiving. Lol!

And I'm serious!

I like to just go to Safeway and get some of their chicken, some cut up fruit, maybe some rolls, something for dessert and have that on Thanksgiving. It’s quick and easy.

I am invited to one place and later Lorna and I will eat a Norms takeout turkey dinner at her place. Surprisingly good, not fancy..

They include pie, but I hope to get a Ralph's pumpkin pie, which is quite good, and whipped cream.

Grooch, Cornish hens.

Naja, 8 turkey costumes and do that magic you do where all the dogs line up and do whatever you tell them to. Or one small and one large turkey costume and pics to the pups' people.

RN haha Juju! It will have been just a few days since I moved and I'll still be so overwhelmed, so that may be a bit daring at that point. LOL

RN After Don cleans the gutters on the new house, since my house is under 4 big trees, he's going to install this type of gutter leaf guard.

RN The gutters are so full, you could use them as planter boxes.
