Oh, AI has made it in. This isn't the article I originally read, but it's close enough. Realtors Are Using AI Images of Homes They’re Selling. Comparing Them to the Real Thing Will Make You Mad as Hell

RN, why is going to Verizon like dealing with a used car salesman! ugh my head is spinning from all the different deals and plans. Then when i say something doesnt look right they have to go behind the iron curtain to talk to the Wizard to get an answer and low and behold a better deal!!! After all said and done I ended up with a loyalty discount...why couldnt they just offer from the start...I had to wear them down first! lol

RN, Congratulations on an offer over asking Naja, that's terrific! I hope you find a lovely house that ticks all the boxes for you. In fact, will add that to my prayers.

I hope you find something. I assume your sale is contingent on you finding a satisfactory place?

By the way, my neighbor who moved to a new home on the UC Irvine campus (which they only got because her husband works there.. He is an MD and PhD and has his own research lab.. Anyway they rented their place to a friend and will rent a room and bath (friend gets master suite).. I told her about my friend Naja renting rooms to traveling employees so they are furnishing the room and advertising. They also have an apartment over the garage rented out. (I don't have such an apartment). Anyway she was bringing in a TV today. All inspired by you, Naja! I did warn them about trainee nuns. No dog sitting, though.. The first renter has a pair of orange cats..

RN That's awesome, Sea! Traveling medical professionals are the best tenants. They work long hours. About the house.... My agent sent over the addendum to the contract to include contingency, and it was sent back at 10:30 last night all signed

So are there more potential places to check out? Yes.. We are one mile from Orange Coast Memorial and while they might have a car, there is also a bus stop right in front of our complex and across from that hospital. And another hospital, now part of UC Irvine, in our city, which isn't large. Others all over our county. And Nicole likes the idea of them not being permanent. They must be ok with cats, though. I would have never thought to suggest it, and Monica and Nicole wouldn't have thought of it if I hadn't been following here. Also our complex is on the same corner as two gas stations, Albertsons and Ralph's, tons of restaurants, TJ Maxx, and so many stores..

RN Sea, The only 3 places I have ever had luck getting good tenants are furnishedfinder.com , roomies.com and roomster.com. Furnishedfinder is the best, but it also has the biggest fee. Travel nurses and other medical pros usually have 3 month contracts, and some get them extended. OH, my closing date is Nov 21. I am so nervous since I don't even have a place yet. The inspection is Thurs. God knows what he'll find wrong in my 50+ yo house. These are the two I'm seeing tomorrow afternoon.

First one looks adorable. Is there a fenced yard? I do see a fence. Looks like stairs, though. Lovely tree, would want an arborist to check for stability. Hope you find what you want.

RN The cute house has a bedroom/office on the first floor. I thought when I start renting again, they could have the whole upstairs to themselves. I'll show the listings....just a min. RN The occasional walking up and down stairs doesn't bother me. What bothers me in my house is just to go out to the yard or to the mailbox, there's a whole flight of stairs. To bring in groceries is 3 or 4 trips up and down the stairs. To answer the door it's down and back up a flight of stairs. To do laundry, it's more up and down the stairs. Every move in my house has a full flight of stairs involved.

For some reason I can't connect to the 2nd house, but just looking at the outside of the houses, I'd pick the 2nd one. First, it's those trees. One in the front and another in the back. They need to come down. Especially the one in the front. One good storm and there goes the house. The first house says it only has one bathroom. Is that correct? When I look at the 2 houses, I just think of the differenfe in money to maintain them. A lot more roof on the 1st one. Have to heat and a/c the 2nd floor. If you don't have a tenant when you get older, you'll have to climb them to clean them. Yes, the 1st one is more adorable, but it's the upkeep. And is the carport in one picture belongs to that house or the neighbors? That neighbor seems awfully close to the house. Oh, and the fencing looks like it needs to be replaced.

The main problem with the second one is the only door to the back yard is at the back of the garage! So to let the dogs out they would have to go through the garage. I've been calling places and looking on Angi and Thumbtack for someone who can put a door where that one window is in back. And to find out a ballbark price, but so far everyone says "That's not in our scope". Surely I'm not the first person to want a new doorway in a brick house. Plus, I have to buy a privacy fence for the brick house.

P.S. Naja….Take your heart medicine, if you have it 🙂, when it comes to a privacy fence. With the already high cost of wood and now the tariffs you’re in for a chest clenching cost.

RN I was doing a little price estimation on my own, and I know it's going to be at least $5,000.

I suppose vinyl is even more.. Well my heart likes the cute house with dangerous trees.. And being in California, brick is scary. Neighborhood is definitely important.

I just got done paying an arm and a leg to clear a root ball as big as my head out of my sewer line, and now that you guys are talking about the big trees so close to the house, it's got me nervous.

RN The cute house was taken off the market, and the brick house was awful! I'm surprised it hasn't caved in and been sucked into the ground like at the end of the horror movie "Carrie". There were so many cracks in the foundation and the bricks that the walls were actually bowing and ceiling was cracked all the way across the living room. PLUS, it smelled bad. I am really getting discouraged. I feel like just staying where I am.
