Four wildfires (two of them very large) are burning near the Grand Canyon in Arizona.
The White Sage Fire: 58 thousand acres.
The Dragon Bravo Fire: 11 thousand acres.
The Swamp Fire: The fire has started recently. So far at least 5 acres.
The Blue Ridge Fire: 1 acre.

BREAKING: Dangerous and life threatening flash flooding in Lincoln County, New Mexico in/around burn scars near Ruidoso.
Several swift water rescues have been performed.
Properties in low lying areas are at risk. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud and vegetation.
This is a life threatening situation. Heavy rainfall will cause extensive & severe flash flooding. Severe debris flows can be anticipated. Roads may be washed away.

The following streams are experiencing major flooding: Left Fork, Lick Creek, Right Fork, Lick Creek. Lick Creek flows toward Saint Paul, Virginia. Dangerous and life threatening flooding along the Lick Creek near Saint Paul is expected. Move to high ground immediately!

The Washington D.C. viewing area just saw a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY with life threatening flash flooding in its core viewing area in Montgomery County, Maryland.
Three of the four network-affiliated stations don’t have any coverage on their social media accounts from today's flash floods.
Only ABC7 retweeted its meteorologist.

At least one tornado touched likely down in Ohio this evening near Tremont City causing damage to homes, trees and powerlines.
There was possibly a second one near Northridge, Ohio.
There was no Tornado Warning at the time, however, there was a "Special Weather Statement" warning of funnel clouds and perhaps brief tornadoes.

Dangerous heat wave is coming to central and southern United States over the next week or two, with many places reaching 100-106°F, and some feel like temperatures could be as high as 115° F to 120°F!
Limit time outdoors, wear lightweight clothing & use air conditioners/fans. Check on the elderly, children, pets etc. Do NOT leave children, pets etc unattended in vehicles! Look before you lock.
