Another lovely day but it will be HOT. We have sunny, bright, clear blue skies with a small breeze and temps going to 97, but probably will end up at 100, LOL.

We are having a 2 day heatwave.

The people that believe the weather is manipulated, geoengineered or think the radars are weather radars are the same people that think the Earth is flat.
My thoughts:
• These conspiracy theories are very FALSE.
• Spreading these theories are dangerous as it's false and misinformation.
• These conspiracy people don't know how meteorology works.
• Radars are NOT so called "weather weapons". The weather isn't modified, manipulated, geoengineered.
• Also, roundabouts do NOT cause tornadoes.

I am growing concerned about a flooding threat that will evolve in Texas and Oklahoma over the next 48 hours.
Widespread 1-3" of rain is possible in North Texas, and Central & Eastern Oklahoma, with localized areas between 5-10" of rain possible. Some flash flooding could be severe and/or life threatening.
Have multiple ways to receive Flood Alerts!

Sometimes you may see this on radar and wonder what is this?
1. These are NOT "Donut blasts" or space lasers etc.
These are birds taking off. We call them roost rings.
Weather radar senses stuff in the air. Yes, Birds can be detected on radar.
We can even tell they’re flapping based on their shape (correlation coefficient).
Conspiracy debunked. NEXT.

CANADA: Canada's wildfire season is off to an intense start, with the province of Manitoba declaring a state of emergency for the second time.
Wildfires have burned 2.5 million acres this year in Manitoba, on pace to scorch the most land in the province in more than three decades. At least a dozen fires there are out of control.
12 million acres have burned across Canada this year.
This wildfire smoke is forecast to move south into the United States this weekend.

Threatening. Not sure how much we might get here in San Antonio but there is another pretty good sized system to the northwest moving to the southeast so we could get 2-4 inches of rain. More threatening is the potential the storm could drop up to a foot of rain in Kerr County which is area that got hit so hard in the July 4th storm and flooding. All the recovery teams have been pulled from the flood area and have moved to higher ground.

The immediate threat has passed. Turned out to be much lighter than the worst case forecast. River did come up a bit but no significant flooding. They are still tracking another system that may or may not hit the Kerr County area this evening.
