RN On the way to the vet because over the past couple weeks Pasty developed this painful lump with a wound on top on her left front leg. Anyone want to get in any guesses as to what it is before I get back from finding out?

lick granuloma.

Dogs sometimes lick over a joint that is arthritic.

RN Well, the first thing he said was what Dogdoc said. So she gets Apoquel to keep it from itching and an antibiotic, and a cone! I have to keep her from licking to see if it goes down. If it doesn't by the time she's done with the meds, then he'll remove it. Cost so far---$246
To remove it if it doesn't go away---$979

I'm not sure, but doesn't her cone look too big? LOL

RN I can't believe it.

You know what started all those fires that burned over 600 acres?

A family was trying to make smores in their back yard and was using cardboard to start the fire.

And you know what town they live in? Manorville! The town I said that's where all the bodies are buried. It figures.

RN Thanks Grooch! Scooter, Endo is my tenant that's been here already since last autumn. His real name is Tom and he is an Endo Tech at a hospital by my house. He works in the area where they do colonoscopies and other things related to it. He's such a wonderful tenant. Clean and friendly. It had been looking like he was staying until at least July, but not anymore :-(

He totally changed my mind about women only roommates.

Now I have to start doing some creative finance. LOL I already put Netflix and Hulu on hold, went to cancel Shudder, but they gave me a $3.49 deal so I stayed.

I'm looking for other things to cancel. I only have to make it until the third Wednesday in July. Maybe a miracle will happen and someone decent will see my ads.

RN Apollo the baby German Shepherd is coming again tomorrow! I can't wait to see how much he's grown again. Last time he was almost as big as Dolly. I bet he's bigger than her now!

It's hard to see a difference between them, but Dolly is still a little bigger. Next trip for sure Apollo will be bigger.

RN Got a promising tenant inquiry! A 43 yr old chubby guy who is some kind of machinist that works 7-3:30.

RN I am babysitting a new dog today named Lady. She's a border collie and very sweet. Listen to this awful story her mom and dad told me.

They had a 4 yr old labradoodle and they left it at a kennel. The owner of the kennels was there alone and someone didn't show up for work. The owner had to go somewhere, and brought all the dogs inside and put them in the kennels. Kennels that look like at the pound, not the little cage type kennels.

Anyway, the weather hit 100 outside and the owner left all 12 dogs without someone there. While the owner was gone, the A/C broke down and all but 3 of the dogs died from the heat! Yes, one of the dogs that died was their Labradoodle. :-(

RN I was so stunned by the story that I didn't think to ask.

RN Today one of my clients asked me if I wanted to keep their dog (and he was pretty upset) because he has to spend months overseas. I love this dog, so I said if he pays for her food and vet bills, I'll just keep her until he comes back. And that way he won't have to get rid of her. I can't let her go to a strange home. We'll see what happens.

Molly is the dog. She's wonderful. She's the silly looking one in the middle.

That's really nice of you, Naja. I still might have asked for a small fee, very discounted from what you usually charge, however.

Oh hell, Naja, you will keep her for $300 a month, which is a steal, AND he pays food and vet bills, while you try to re-home her as best you can if he reneges on his part.

You understand he is sort of blackmailing you at worst, and playing on your soft heart at best?

Can you confirm he is even going overseas?

This is a heart-wrencher in the circumstances you find yourself, especially since the Social Security safety net you have been counting on could be yanked right out from under you in the next few months, because DOGE.
