RN We are docking in Nice. We have to be off the ship by 9:30 AM. The cruise line arranged our hotel and will take us there once we disembark.

RN: A quick update.
The police called me late afternoon to give me an update and to see what I wanted to do. They had taken him to the station and called his mother to come pick him up.
His family lives in the next town and their street is almost across the street from where I work. He was at the party that was 3 houses down from me. He's only 20. Makes you wonder if the people at the house are going to get in trouble for serving a minor and that much! Anyway, that is a marked house with the cops now either way.
The officer commended me on how I handled the situation.  . I praised the police who came. (I don't want a marked house.) So when he asked if I wanted to press charges, I told him no, we were all young and stupid once. I just want my $20, call them and tell the kid he can leave it under my doormat if he wants, or he can come to my job and give it to me. He said he can't facilitate any deals, either I can call them, or the kid can call me. I told the cop that the kid can call me. He's an adult now and he has to start doing adult responsibilities.
So, I was surprised later that evening, when I got a call from the kid to apologize to me. I figured if he was to call to apologize, it wouldn't be until today because he'd be to hung over. He sounded quite chipper. So, I asked how he was feeling. He said he felt great. I was robbed of him having a bad hang over. Oh, to be young again.
He said he knew he broke some things, and I told him, yes, and I want my $20. Lol! I told him he can come to my house or work to pay me. I also told him that I really appreciated him calling me to apologize.
It was a quick phone call, and I really didn't get the feeling that he understands the seriousness of what he did and things could have ended up bad. Oh, well. Who am I to judge? It could just be my biases.
Anyway, if I don't get my $20, I know where his mother lives, and I have pictures he probably wouldn't want me to show her.

RN I'm at the vet with Patsy, and on the way here I drove past the back of my house and I teared up again. Good tears! They have flowers hanging all around the back deck. The pool is open with pool floaties all over the place. It just looks so happy.

That is wonderful, Naja! You know the home, where you had both joy and sorrow, and you worked so hard to keep and maintain, is being loved and you can look at all those stairs and enjoy your new place with those gorgeous floors and renovated bathroom.. And that new big beautiful fence.
Wins all round.
Hope Patsy enjoyed the ride with mom.

Grooch.. I guess that is a start. I had a neighbor jump over my fence and Knock over a glass top table that had a very heavy clay pot with plants.
Luckily the table didn't break, the pot was a loss, but it was a next to the dumpster find at least .
The intruder has no remorse and won't talk about it.
Continues to return to the scene of the crime.

RN Yesterday while I was at the vet with Patsy, I asked the vet if they have a lot of pets named Patsy going there. Not only don't they have any other Patsy Clines, but they don't have any that are just Patsy either!

RN Just landed at Dulles International. Through Customs and rechecked bags for San Antonio. If the weather holds here and there we should land in San Antonio around 8:30 PM CDT. There are potential thunderstorms here in the DC area and at home.

RN I just got so angry at work, I walked out for the day.
I've posted before about how the father has alzheimers. This, year he is now so demanding and angry, I've hit my limit today. I understand that he is sick, and not to take things personally and I let A LOT slide.
Since I came back 3 weeks ago, he yells at me a lot. And even though I let ot slide and walk off or cajole him, the culmination of it all today was enough. The last straw was when I had to write up a regular customer for 2 plants on the house account, when I asked what the price was, the customer joked $20. I joked back, OH, $120. The father told me to give him the plants for free.
I know the son would have a complete meltdown if he found out, so as the customer was saying no, don't, do that, the father was insisting and started yelling at me to do what HE SAYS! AND THAT I BETTER DO IT! And he jumped up while yelling and pointing at me.
That was it. I yelled at him not to yell at me and said I was leaving. I walked out the door and planned to just walk around the building, but I knew I couldn't calm down.
I walked around the building, walked back in, and the wife was there with him. I apologized to her but told her I was going home. I feel so bad for her. She's in an impossible situation. She quietly asked if I'd be back tomorrow and I said yes.
She said she didnt what happened because she wasn't in the room at the time, and I said he wanted to give the customer the plants away for free. He jumped up again and started yelling at me again about it. So, I left.
I feel bad for the wife because when the son finds out, its going to cause a big fight between them all, and it will basically be the son yelling at his mother.

Grooch, it seems like the son is not just letting his father down, as he shouldn't even be there, should be in a supportive environment and that situation is allowed to keep you in an impossible position, and also harm the reputation of the business.
I don't understand the son..
Anyway, you deserve to get battle pay for being there.

RN Holy cow Grooch! I hope today is better for you.
At the restaurant/bar I worked at the first half of my 20s, the owner had 2 sons that worked there. They didn't do anything except cashier or host. But every night one of the sons had off, he would come in and steal full bottles of booze and cases of beer out of the stockroom and fridge, and grab a handful of cash out of my bar register. They did this to the point where I didn't have stuff the customers were asking for or enough change for larger bills. They made it a nightmare. I always complained to their father, but he never did anything.

RN I got 2 new clients today! One with 1 dog and the other with 2. The one with 2 dogs is a young guy that looks like Toby McGuire.
eta: Both of the meet and greets went like would would in a dream. Just perfect! Patsy and Dolly were so well behaved meeting their new friends.
