RN, Naja, I'm surprised Nurse Debbie is not working, it seems so many places are looking for nurses. I don't remember, is she a traveling contract nurse?

RN Pamy, anyone I even knew who owned them practically lived in them. Sugar, this is the third experience I have had with this. After the traveling pharmacist got here for her second stay this spring (she was my first tenant last summer), they decided they didn;t need here and she went home after she forced them to give her 2 weeks notice. Then Connie who ruined my Zelle account had her contract cancelled. Now it feels like they are giving Nurse Debbie the minimal hours to force her out.

RN Pit bull mom just tipped me $78. I feel a little better now. I have a meet and greet tomorrow with a rottweiler/beagle mix. I can't wait to see what the heck this looks like.

Naja, she should have paid for your vet bills if you had any for your poor pupper. How is she doing?

RN Patsy is fine, It was just a couple scratches along the inside of the floppy part of her ear. Some antibiotic ointment did the trick.

I wonder how the adoption of Max was handled. When I was volunteering at the shelter in Irvine, with a dog adoption, they had to bring in the whole family, including other dogs and observe them together. This would have meant that the adoption of a second pit, they would really be scrutinized. Not a pit, but I got to observe a family meeting a dog from the shelter. Family had another dog and a toddler. The family dog was happy to meet our dog, but that dog totally ignored the family dog, despite efforts by that dog, the potential adopters and staff, and was just obsessed with the child. The adoption was nixed and the adopters were upset, but there was too much worry about the child. This was really taking a stand, too, because in a municipal shelter, often the city or county really doesn't want lawsuits. In cats, where I volunteered, we were told how they worked to head off a bad fit, but an absolute refusal was rarely done. I also think of Villalobos Rescue Centers (Pit Bulls and Paroles) and how careful they are with adoptions.. Even if the meet and greet went well at the shelter, and after driving long distances to deliver a dog, if the meeting at the home didn't go well, they would cancel the adoption. I hope Max can have a relaxing respite from Naveen, coming alone to play with your dogs. Hope Patsy knows Max wasn't the aggressor. But I do worry about what could happen with lawsuits if anyone's dog is hurt or killed. And your review does show that you are aware (not sure how public your review would be).

I think you have the pits backwards, Seamonkey, and that Max was the aggressor? Naveen is coming over alone this time. I had to go back and re-read to be sure also! One thing we have seen with our rescue is that for awhile they seem to get along just fine. It isn't until one of 2 things happen that things go awry. The first is the new dog becomes more comfortable in his/her home and starts to show a more aggressive personality. The second is the new dog (or sometimes the old dog, depending on ages) comes into social maturity - anywhere from 1-2 years old and then becomes less tolerant of other dogs. So the meet and greet system, while important, isn't always the end of the story.

Oh, well flip the names, sorry.. Oh for sure.. things can evolve. I would hope the involved animals would be neutered or spayed. VRC after first meet and walking the dogs together and suc, when they arrive at the new home, first they go inside without the new dog to see how the family has prepared, and to check the yard, if there is one, especially to check fencing and gates, then the dogs meet and go for a walk off the property then on. I think they are available to consult for behavioral problems for their adopters. How's daughter in law (ex wife of one of Tia's adopted twin sons), Lizzy Scollo, relocated back to New York but still has connections to Villalobos. She also has extensive training from her years at the rescue and from formal training programs and she works with people locally and over zoom (or another app). But things can flip suddenly. Naja, I hope you get another good renter soon. I know losing Yolanda was a personal and financial blow.

RN This view out my front living room window is to the point it's making nervous. There's actually 3 or 4 widowmaker branches hanging in the tree, but that huge one is extra scary. They all walk and park under it every day. Can you see it?

RN I'm at the dmv renewing my license. Making an appointment is a bunch of bs. It means nothing when you get there. They just want you to think so. I'm waiting on my 3rd line now.

RN I got my first review as a landlord from Nurse Debbie! Tenant Review: "I enjoyed my stay here. The owner has 2 dogs that are the most lovable dogs I've ever seen. The owner treats you like family, she is very thoughtful and giving. The house is clean, kitchen has everything you could need, my bedroom had plenty of closet and drawer space. The extra family room downstairs is a great retreat if you need more privacy or just want to unwind quietly. The pool is awesome. She keeps it clean and there is more than one area on the multi-level deck to sit and enjoy the outdoors. I worked at the Research Hospital and was on-call at the hospital and my travel time was still under 30 minutes. Great place to stay. "

RN Let's hope it helps draw good tenants soon. I really can't go more than a month without a tenant and still get the bills paid.

RN Wow, Yolanda just gave me a stack of about 100 blank non expiring manager's coupons for Sonic. I just fill in whatever I want. Anything and everything I can use them for. And they aren't like I can only fill in 1 drink or something. I can fill in whole meals with drinks on the coupons. Well, at least I won't starve if I run out of money. LOL

God bless Yolanda. I already miss her a lot. There is a lot to be said for not starving. And bless Debbie too for loving her temporary family so much and posting that great review. Um, how long until the (dearly departed dear husband who could not eat but bought you delicacies so he could enjoy you eating them, and that is love) hubby's Social Security kicks in? As I recall, it was almost within sight.
