These cycling track Sprint races are so weird and interesting. They have to have a walker type device to hold thee bikes, or a person does, so odd looking.

And then the race is less than a minute, wow.

These artistic swimming ladies never get enough attention come Olympics time. The amount of athleticism it takes to do all these moves in sync and while holding your breath is astonishing to me.

Artistic Swimming is different this year, or maybe it changed before and I didn't know it. But it seems they have to hav some "floor exercise" tricks now.

They have to lift "the flyer", as they call them, totally out of the water so that a flip or jump or twist came be performed.

Totally amazing.

LOL, The US Women did a performance called "I am Water" and the announcer said that the voice you hear is Jason Momoa, Aqua man!

The final round showcased a series of creative, complex routines, including a performance set to a trap remix of "The Lion King" soundtrack (Egypt), an homage to Moulin Rouge (France), a routine with a mashup of "O Fortuna," Eminem and some sick guitar riffs (Spain), an alligator-themed routine (Japan) and much more.

Ok, so since the Seine is so polluted, why can't they use the lake / water at the Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium for the triathlon and other stuff that was going to swim in the Siene.

I don't get why they can't figure this out.

I think maybe because the rest of the bike, run portion is already laid out within Paris and to reconfigure that might be too confusing?

Koolie, thee announcers did say that the backup plan was to move it to the kayak lake but they deemed thee Seinee "clean enough" for racers.

There’s been at least 40 athletes testing positive for COVID and a lot are still competing. This ain’t even one athlete, one country. This is the entire protocol being an issue https://today.com/today/amp/rcna164070

Did he know he had covid when he was competing? Or did he find out afterwards?

Yes, I read that he was diagnosed 2 days before, which made sense to me because when I saw him at the prelim round 2 days ago, he was wearing a mask in the ready room.
