Saturday ... It's Graduation Time Somewhere ...
I already ran out some old kitty food and trash to the bins, ran into one of the dog walkers.
Unloaded the dishwasher, fed the kitties and opened up the balcony.
Time for yogurt and the newspaper.

We have a Covid outbreak and now I know why the Director changed her Newletter update to include a comment about isolating if you get Covid. Of course we have one person who doesn't think that applies to him. I have heard he wears a mask but then takes it off to eat and coughs and hacks all over his food.
I am hoping the dining room manager is there tonight so I can tell her she needs to isolate him to a corner of the far dining room if he comes down for Brunch tomorrow.
Anyway, I got thru my email, put away all the dishes that were drying, and then had a lovely nap.
All refreshed now, so I am working on twitter and finishing up the paper.

LOL, time for a fun day. Just fed the kitties and I am off to read the Sunday paper and enjoy some yogurt.

Brewed my coffee and then refilled water bottles while I waited. Cleaned up the kitchen a bit.

It's Home Blessing Day and we have moved to the master bedroom, bathroom and closet. Time to clean off the dresser and then dust!!
I had to go down to the front desk to get my newspaper and then I grabbed some yogurt.

Cleaned up the old kitty food and got the coffee brewing while I rode my bike. I am trying to get it in 2 or 3 times a day to help build up some stamina in my thighs.
Dustbusted the bathroom litter, and then did the comforter, it had bunch of loose treats and things.
Next is to take the newspapers and kitty poop out to the bins, then grab my coffee and get busy on email!

Bin runs are done. Then I printed all the minutes from Dec 2023 til present to get the Living Room Binder up to date. We have a bunch of new people who have been encouraged to Not be Welcomed. They seem to be asking a bunch of questions - imagine that, I wonder why, LOL.
So I have started the June Newsletter with an update about the Resident Council and that their is info in the Binder in the living room.
The other thing on my list is to gather all my Management Questions into one document so I can see what has been answered and what is still outstanding.
I really need to go and clear my email now, LOL.

OMG, I accidentally ordered 2 gallons of milk!!! I hope I can find someone to take the other one or I am going to be drinking milk all day everyday for a while, LOL.
So my Safeway order came and I got most of it put away, haven't finished sorting the catfood yet. But I am wondering what happened to the Safeway drivers, did they get rid of them or are they only using them when there is booze in the delivery. I have had door dash, uber and lyft drivers for my last few deliveries.

Today is Anti-Procrastination Day and in the master bathroom, to go through your makeup. Get rid of anything that is too old and not used.
We had an internet outage this morning. Apparently it was supposed to be a quick outage so they could upgrade our internet service ... dun, dun, dunnnnnnn. All of a sudden it knocked all the power to all the comcast stuff in the building and the Supervisor had to be called.
I was trying to figure out what the internet being down had to do with my TV that is connected to cable and a cable box, but it turns out it was the power situation.
Anyway it came back about noon, and we happened to be in the town hall meeting at the time so that was how we found out about the upgrade. I hope it works because I was asking that they upgrade the signal so we shall see.
I woke up feeling odd, with a slight temp, so I cancelled my Housekeeping. That means I will need to do a bit more cleaning this week, mostly just the toilet, dusting (I usually do a detail dusting after housekeeping anyway) and sweeping the floors. The rest I can leave til next time.
Just trying to get caught up on email, twitter, games and figure out what to do about dinner. I don't think I want anything on the menu.

It's Errand Day AND clean off the bed side tables. Get all the tissues, trash, books, and cups off of these and put them where they belong.
I cleaned up the kitchen, loaded up the dishwasher and got it started. Then I took out the old kitty food, a couple of boxes and some trash out to the bins. I also grabbed a big trash bag to gather the bottles in for recycling.
I have Chinese lunch today with my friend and I got a call from the eye doctor, my new glasses are in!! So after lunch we will swing by and get them plus then we will be close to Pet Express so we can get some new kitty grass, LOL. Guess I am doing some errands.
And last night I did get a short ride on my bike at 10.30, so I have kept up my riding this week. It's my major goal to help improve stamina.
Now, off to have some yogurt, shower, etc.

Great Chinese Food with leftovers! Then we got gas at Costco, swung by the Pet Express for kitty grass, picked up my new glasses and then went down and got a car wash. On the way back to my place we stopped at ARF Thrift Store and she donated some stuff she had in the back of her car, a cat carrier and some other stuff.
So a ton of errands done plus we cleaned her car so she is ahead of the game for tomorrow, LOL.
Then when I got back the newspapers had been delivered so now I can go read the paper, catch up on the news and play some computer games.
Not sure about my glasses I am occasionally noticing that I don't see right out of my left eye but they said that prescription changed quite a bit so maybe I just need to get used to them.
Off to read the paper.

It's clean your purse and car day .... I did that yesterday, LOL. AND time to vacuum the bedroom and sweep/mop the bathroom floor if there is time.
I got the dishwasher unloaded, grabbed the paper and had some yogurt.
I have Resident Council meeting today and then Dime Bingo, then after that I have a few things I need to do around the house.
Off to get set up for my meeting.

Saturday!! It's supposed to be a fun day but it's cold, LOL ...
My meeting went well, lots of questions about things I can't do anything about. One guy wanted me, the "Liaison with management" to tell the Activities Director "to do her job", hahahahaha. ONe, she is doing her job and two, her job title has changed. So I will let "management" know that they need to disclose her new title and duties so people will stop expecting her to plan things for her. Since we are Independent Living, the Director has decided we need to plan our own activities They have yet to figure out just because we are independent doesn't mean we don't need an organizer of activities and events. That was the best one.
Anyway, then I went out for an excellent Mexican dinner, have some leftovers.
I got the coffee brewing, grabbed the paper, did a bit of dustbusting and now I need to go grab that coffee and read the paper.
Also need to manage my leftovers at some point today and then take out the big trash bag, since I didn't have housekeeping, my choice, I need to do that myself.
Off to check some email and get my coffee.

Dustbusted and spot mopped the bathroom floor, restocked the cabinets and took the old kitty poop out to the trash.
Also dustbusted the office and living room areas, Sylvester had made a mess with the new kitty grass, LOL.
Off to work on email.

LOL Juju, it's how I make sure I get things accomplished, plus I can't really talk about some of the RC stuff with anyone but you guys. ... you won't blab to the other residents.
I know you are in a senior community but I am not sure you have the things I do. Most Single Family Communities have "HOA" type activities and no dining facility or housekeeping staff.

Sunday ... They really are running the Indianapolis 500 ....
After the storms cleared I saw on the news that they have opened up the gates for the people to come to the race!
I have $5 Bingo at 2pm, I don't usually win on these games, they are hard and not real bingos, except for the one where you have to have a bingo in the B, N, G columns -- that's three. Other games are Postage Stamp, Crazy Kite - that one is really hard, Telephone Pole and 4 corners plus a frame.
It is fun though, and I enjoy my friends.
Time to head off for brunch.

Our community is all duplex houses on beautifully landscaped grounds with a full gardening staff. No meals, no housekeeping, a clubhouse with an indoor pool, and mostly dependent on volunteer residents to keep it all running.

It's Home Blessing Day AND It's time for Zone Five - Living Room -- time to find the dust bunnies. Grab your broom and hit the trail. Look under the furniture, the walls, the ceiling fixtures, on top of the curtains and blinds.
I plan to work in the bedroom, I want to do a detail dusting, haven't done that in a while and soon I will fire up the fans which will blow stuff around, LOL.
Off to have some yogurt and catch up on the news.
