So we had brisket burger hamburgers and fries Saturday. No big deal with the menu but we used our air fryer for the french fries for the first time. A bit embarrassed to post this but we bought it three years ago when our local grocery store had a pallet load of them at a big discount. Stuffed it away in our large walk-in pantry and kind of forgot about it. Finally I said enough is enough and pulled it out still in its full retail packaging. We like fried foods for the taste but gave them up at least at home years and years ago because of the mess frying makes and for health reasons. The fries were wonderful and a big improvement over oven baked fries. Have used the air fryer three more times for some snacks and stuffed mushrooms we had with dinner last night. Completely sold and kicking ourselves for not using it sooner.

LOL, Mack... So glad you like it now that you have tried it!
We are having "al fresco dining" for the next 3 days; the Dining Room and Living Room are being painted. So they have put up a bunch of canopies/umbrellas and moved tables out into the courtyard. We now have 34 seats; previously 50 with only 2 of the dining areas.
People have to reserve a table, since I am sure they won't let me sit alone and read my book I have opted for delivery, they are also offering a pick up area (I suspect this is the test for going back to pick up or delivery for a charge that was in place last year. I have wondered if the old manager did away with pickup, establishing no charge deliveries, to get back at his bosses since he suspected he was going to get fired, LOL)

Oh I forgot, it is buffet serving, not all you can eat, LOL.
Today -- Grilled Pork Chop or BBQ Chicken both served with a choice of Macaroni and Cheese, Broccoli salad, Fruit salad and Mixed Greens.
White Cake for dessert.

Tonight is a no cook night. I’ll be fetching dinner from one of our favorite Tex-Mex restaurants which is about two miles from our house. Friday used to be “date night” and that meant eating out. Covid kind of changed that habit and we fetch as often as we actually go out.
