Gossett's cousin, Neal L. Gossett, confirmed his death to CBS News. The actor died Thursday night in Santa Monica, California, the Associated Press reported. No cause of death was revealed.

They eventually did. The first notice on CNN said no cause of death announced but apparently details came out later.

It's a shame. He had been making the rounds on the news and talk shows, and he was so healthy and very spry. I'm sure he had lots of years still ahead of him.

Pearl Harbor’s last USS Arizona battleship survivor dies at 102

The last living survivor of the USS Arizona battleship that exploded during the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor has died.

Lou Conter, who was 102, passed away in his California home on Monday from congestive heart failure, Louann Daley, his daughter, told the Associated Press.

K-Pop Star Park Bo Ram Dead at 30

Park Bo Ram, a South Korean singer who released music under the moniker Park Boram, died unexpectedly, her agency Xanadu Entertainment shared in a statement. She was 30.

She was at a private gathering with two friends when she collapsed suddenly from cardiac arrest, according to a police report obtained by AllKPop. She was transported to the hospital but died about an hour later, per the report. A cause of death has not yet been revealed.

ROME (AP) — Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli, known for a flamboyant, glamorous style and textile innovations, has died at age 83, his company announced Friday.

Cavalli is survived by model Sandra Nilsson, who has been his partner since 2014, and six children. He became the father of his sixth child a the age of 82.

Eleanor Coppola, matriarch of a filmmaking family, dies at 87

Eleanor Coppola, who documented the making of some of her husband Francis Ford Coppola’s iconic films, including the infamously tortured production of “Apocalypse Now,” and who raised a family of filmmakers, has died. She was 87.

Coppola died Friday at home in Rutherford, California, her family announced in a statement.

Bob Graham, former Florida governor and U.S. senator, dies at 87

Bob Graham, perhaps the most peculiar and popular politician of modern Florida history, died Tuesday. The Democratic two-term governor (1979-87) and three-term U.S. senator (1987-2005) was 87.

He passed away at 8:30 p.m. of old age with his wife, Adele, and family by his side in a retirement community in Gainesville.
