Same down here in South Padre Island, Mack, where we have been since Halloween arrival. We will be here until March 1. Last year and this year we have been in a ground floor condo in a multi-unit high-rise condo complex. We are in one of the older condo complexes on the island, and in previous years on higher floors the wind just whistled through those uninsulated units bringing both cold winds and noise, and in one unit, rain in the kitchen! On the ground floor, we are snug as bugs,, or in some cases, snug with bugs, and don't actually hear much of the storms going on outside. Temperature has dropped from 89 two days ago to 64 now, and it is going to rain for four days and only get up to 62 tomorrow.

NO RAIN !!! bummed, Sky is blue and bright, cloudy and clear, depends which way you look, LOL. No breeze and temps going up to 70.
The rain is up in Marin and Sonoma but they say we might get some tomorrow. Off to put the cushions back on the balcony.

We have been dry here for what seems like forever!Many counties are under fire bans!!! My BFFF got her waer bill today and it is 35% higherthan usual because she has been watering newly planted grass seed in her yard!

Tnt, what are your winters like where you live? Does it get very cold and snowy (usually, when a drought isn't going on) or do you have mild winters that aren't to bad, just a cold spell once in a while?

Winters are gnerally mild - sometimes wet - with alittle snow, We usually refer to it as "Yard show" as it usually does notstick on road, etc. When we do have a big snow weare pretty well immobilized as we don't have many plows or other equipment. Once every few years we might have an ice storm which does a lot of damage to power lines. Iremember more snowy winters as a child!!!

Hmmmm, they say 90% chance of rain.... none yet, LOL. The skies are cloudy and gray, but I don't see any gray storm clouds.

It is wonderful out! Feels like summer but the skies are gray and cloudy, a very slight breeze and temps going to 66.
We might have rain tonight, a slight chance, more likely friday afternoon/evening, so I put the cushions backdown on the balcony.

Leonid meteor showers peak this week. Here's where they'll be visible and how to see them.
One of the fastest meteor showers will zoom past Earth this week, peaking in the early morning hours of Saturday, Nov. 18. The Leonids are also expected to be visible on Friday, Nov. 17 in the early morning, according to the Planetary Society, a nonprofit run by Bill Nye focused on space education.
