Yikes, Maui is on fire. Just saw that the town of Lahaina might have been burned down. apparently some people had to be rescued from the bay where they jumped to avoid the fire!

Frightening Video ... HawaiiDelilah™ 🟦 @HawaiiDelilah · 5h This is what it looked like earlier on Maui. If you've been to my hometown of Lahaina...I fear it is no longer. I dread what it will look like in the morning. An apocalyptic scene is unfolding due to the fires raging across my island. Please pray for us. https://twitter.com/HawaiiDelilah/status/1689241362011660288

I’ve watched the Columbia River Gorge massively burn a couple times in my lifetime. Just watching how fast fire can move is just heartbreaking. Hawaii will come out of this and survive, but only after a lot of tears.

Lahaina is where some of the not-huge cruise ships docked in Maui. I have walked Front St. several times. It was all small wooden shops much like old small towns in many parts of the USA. I think it might all be gone today.
