Fun wine tasting ... we had a prosecco, sparkling white, pinot grigio, merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and one other red. It was served with a nice little plate of cheese/crackers/strawberry/blueberry and crackers.
And of course the World Cup is over, won't spoil in here since some could be taping.
Time to recheck email and twitter.

It's birthday lunch day. Sister is coming over to get her gift and I will treat her to lunch wherever she wants.

Had a great burger and fries, the one thing they really can't do here, except for the Western BBQ in the summer. It was very tasty and I have a ton of leftovers.
Apparently I am allergic to my Letsfit watch, so annoying. I have now wrapped the band with black gorilla tape to see if that helps. I really like this watch but there isn't a way to change out the watchband. I should look and see if they have others with a cloth watchband.
I think this one is silicon, so we shall see how the tape works, LOL.

Sunday ... A day of Pondering the Christmas Decorations ...
I guess it is time to get the Christmas stuff out of the storage unit and put the Thanksgiving stuff away.
But first ... time to read the Sunday paper and have some yogurt.

Looks like I need to add to my morning routine to sweep the office, that way I can stay on top of the kitty litter spread.
So I did that, and dustbusted the bathroom for kitty litter! and then I ran out some boxes and recycling while the coffee brewed. Also got the dishwasher unloaded.
I can't seem to get on top of when I am cold and when I am hot, it is so annoying. For some reason this morning I am now cold, when I woke up it seemed hot ... makes me crazy.
Anyway, off to grab my coffee and warm up my hands.

Lots of plans for today, already started by grabbing a few boxes out of the storage unit to locate the Christmas decorations. Struggled but finally got the metal tree out, it is only 3 feet tall so it was annoying getting it from where it got stuck. I will have to do a better job next year when I put it away.
Time for the newspaper, Perry Mason and some yogurt.

Hmmm, it may be that I need to do a little work on the storage unit... I think I stuck things in there because I didn't really know what to do with them so a little work may need to be done.
Got thru email, now working on Twitter, and thinking about how I want to do my Christmas decorations. I was thinking that I may hang my little garlands that used to hang in the slider outside on the wall by my door with my other outdoor decorations.
Need to pull a few more things out and make sure I have all the decorations so I can make decisions.
Off to work on twitter.

Twitter is done. Pulled out a couple more boxes from the storage unit and still haven't found the one item, my outdoor hanging/flag christmas tree. There is still one box up on the very top that I need to get the stepstool to access.
I did find some things for goodwill, a couple of "fake" outdoor plants that I don't need they used to go on my front porch. Found my "fake" poinsettia plant so maybe that can go out by my front door.
Off to do some more re-work of the storage unit. I think I will hang the wreaths on the door, so I need to put up a couple of command hooks.

The plan is to get the rest of the stuff out of the storage unit until I find the christmas tree "flag". Then reorg what is left that I want to keep, donate what I can and be done with the project. Thank goodness I'm not expecting anyone this week since the living room is quite a mess. Nala is enjoying all the clutter for now.
I swept the office and living room so I can move the rug from the balcony inside. Rain is coming.
Also cleaned up the kitchen, got the dishwasher loaded and the sinks cleaned up.
Cleared some email and now it's time for the paper, yogurt and my solitaire game.

Holy cow, almost done with the storage unit, I did find the tree I want to hang out on my wall, and now I actually have room in the storage unit and can see everything. Just need to put the hooks on the door so I can hang my wreaths.
I have Autumn, Winter and Spring so Autumn is on the front door and 2 will hang in on the storage door. Winter wreath doesn't go up until closer to Christmas.
Also got thru all of email and twitter. Watered some plants and packaged up some stuff to take down to the office for crafts or tree decorations.

Put all the packing material back into the boxes that was fought with thru the night, LOL. Got the boxes stacked up and hopefully I will determine which ones I want to keep today.

Got thru email ... someone here has gotten covid. I kind of know who the guy is, so I figure I haven't been exposed. I am interested to see if "Management" tells us about it, I only know because a guy from the Newsletter committee let me know (I am on that committee).
Need to figure out my Christmas decorations. I think I have figured out where to hang the stockings, just need to see if I have enough command hooks for that and the wreaths.
Off to finish up twitter, then layout my outdoor (in the hallway on the wall by my door) Christmas display.

Well shoot, I have no command hooks, thought I had a few so I just ordered a bunch and I think they will be here on Friday.
Got 3 more packages, I think 2 are presents and one is my new 2023 Dilbert calendar!!
Off to do my 2023 calendar since I can't hang stuff, LOL.

A wonderful rainy winter day!!! It's been so long since we had one! Grabbed the towels off the balcony before they got too wet, and got the door open. I am tieing it open so it won't slam into the railing.
That plan changed, when I opened the door I got a few drips coming down, so I think there is a gap in the deck above the door. The kitties will have to wait until noon when the rain is supposed to die down.
Got a dental appointment today so getting ready for that.

Email got done, cavity filled ... and no more dental stuff until cleaning next year!
Need to check the new email and finish updating the calendars with the monthly stuff.
When I came in from the dentist everyone was in the living room decorating the Christmas trees. I was amazed how tall the tree is and there was a good group working on it. Then they have Happy Hour, so it should be a fun day down there.
I don't go to Happy Hour I am usually doing other stuff and right now half my face feels swollen and I can only breathe out of one nostril, LOL.
Time to finish my coffee and play some computer games.

Trying to have a normal routine morning, LOL, but I got a bit of a late start. Opened up the balcony and got the towels back out on the milk crates, everything seems to be pretty dry.
Was going to do some laundry today but I think I will figure out the "porch" decorations so I can put away some of these boxes.
Also got a pair of mules I ordered and I wearing them while trying to figure out if I like the fit. I think I do but then I go " well if you have to think about it are they really correct". I have already returned one pair they were so obviously too small and had to be mismarked. Anyway struggling with this decision.
Off to get email cleared and then a Resident Council meeting which is at either 1pm or 2pm. The calendar says 1pm, it has always been a 2pm in the past and the newsletter says 2pm. So we shall see.

Wintry outside!! Today will be Christmas decoration day and maybe a load of laundry.
I already shifted one box of collectables into a new box so I can have the bigger box for Decorations storage next year. Got out the fabric tree ... I don't know what to do with the bars that would normally go inside to put it in a plant. So I just put them in the storage box, LOL. I don't know if there is a place to donate them.
I am going to order some Christmas stamps, not sure I have enough and I can use any extra for next year. So I need to start my cards. I might actually do a insert this year.
For now I started the coffee and now I will go read the paper and have some yogurt.

Most of the decorations are out and I have my garland ready to go up. I have to go out and put the push pins in place ... this may require measuring, LOL. I miss having the push pins in place and it taking 3 minutes to hang the decorations, LOL.
Haven't received all my hooks yet so some things can't be hung but I am making progress.
Oh and twitter it done for now.

Got thru the paper, had a lovely brunch and played computer games.
Time to do a few chores ... I put the hooks on the storage door and hung the 2 wreathes, then I put the collectible box up on the top shelf where the wreathes had been, marked the Christmas Stuff box and put it on the shelf.
So now all I have to do is hang the decorations outside my door and I should have all that stuff done.
Of course I still need to do the Christmas cards and wrap presents but those things can be done later in the week.
Time to check email, twitter and then hang the garlands and take out the newspapers and boxes I don't need.

Ok, Garland is up!! I knew it wouldn't take that long, it was just multiple steps ... Put the push pins up along the wall which meant taking the stepstool out in the hallway, normally I would have used a ruler to space them but I just winged it, LOL. Then separate the garlands, they kept getting tangled with each other, and then finally hanging them.
They look good and add a very nice festive look to my little fabric tree.
So now I just need my black command hooks so I can hang the stockings. I am going to hang them off the edge of my dining table, it has a board under the tabletop that the legs connect to and will be perfect to put the hooks.
I haven't decided if I will put up the Christmas lights that I took down at the condo. They are in a paper bag out on the balcony.
I have a couple of items that I don't really need now so I will see if they can use them at the front desk tomorrow.

Newspaper, email and twitter done. Been working on all the odd things around the house. Got the Thanksgiving hanging put away in the storage unit, been refilling water and soda bottles.
Changed the table runner to poinsettias. Still waiting for my hooks to do the stockings, which reminds me ... off to check on the delivery for that.

Ok, looks like the black hooks will arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday ... instead of last friday, LOL.
Time to do a few more chores in the kitchen ... oh I forgot I need to unload the dishwasher and change the brita filter.

Took out the newspapers and the big box that was for the weaths, then I got the dishwasher unloaded.
Also grabbed a couple of decorations that I no longer need and put them with the stuff to donate.
