True, though I left the Midwest at 13 and my parents, from the Midwest, never used the term. But I definitely do, unless it bothers someone, of course. Does not bother me. The cartridge itself may have instructions packed with it.

I’m from Oregon and we use ‘you guys’ all the time. Maybe it was from my parents, as they were from Nebraska. When I was a manager, I had to catch myself sometimes because I’d say it to my all women staff!

Printer is still just sitting there waiting for me. Different question: My computer is a MacBook Pro. Always plugged in. Turn off at night. In the past it's always shown 100% charged. Lately it's always around 95%. Not doing anything different with it. What's going on?

Oh, Colord, wish I lived closer, I'd be happy to set it up for you! For the battery, try unplugging it for a few hours, or overnight (but leave it on!). Then try charging again. That should fix it. You need the charge to drop below 90% for this to work.

How old is the computer? Batteries don’t last forever. Also, I’ve read to not keep them plugged in all the time.

Called AppleCare. Talked to Jen in Ontario, Canada. . Got question answered about MBP charging. That's what Jen said -- batteries don't last forever, but not that old -- got it March 8, 2021. She also suggested letting battery run down then plug in. Try that at least once and see what happens.

Now power is like it was before -- always 100%. Don't know why it was low for a few days?? Back to printer . . . . As I said it's out of the box. I just sit here looking at it. Hmmm. I actually got Office Depot service (for a few $) to call in for set-up help. Even do remote to get printer and computer working together. Haven't done that as yet. Before covid OD even made house-calls to set up printer (for a few $ more). I was over by that OD this morning. I asked though I was sure answer would be NO. Answer was YES! Just couple days ago they started doing in-home set-up again. Office Depot will be here Monday afternoon. Hallelujah!! I need to print some tax stuff.

It's just so easy to set up on your own. It helps if you at least try!

Naja, I should. I have done a "number" in my head over the past few years. Don't believe I'm capable of doing anything successfully so always trying to avoid frustration. It gets to be ridiculous. Blame these covid times? Blame aging. I'm in pretty good shape for my 75 years. EEEEK 75?! Even my PCP who moved to Key West (from Chicago 'burbs) thought so too.

I can print on my laser printer!! Through Home Depot someone came and set it up. Quick and easy? Yes. For me, still worth what I paid to save me from possible frustration.

Nice, Color. Enjoy the printer! Did you take notes for adding or changing paper? It is not difficult.

Paper tray at the bottom. Yes, maybe / probably could have set it up myself with phone help from Office Depot instead of in-home. Asked questions as she was doing it. Didn't need disk. Generally drivers are no longer needed for printers? I think it's set up for both cable and wifi printing. I don't move computer around here so cable works for me.

I saw this tweet:
quote:Laurie Garrett @Laurie_Garrett 3h Cyberattacks are a feature in the Russian fight against #Ukraine -- "someone" is rolling out 100s of assaults, large and small, on computer systems. These can spill over to computer systems worldwide. Update all of your computer #Malware #spyware & virus defenses ASAP.
And I remembered that yesterday when I turned on my tablet, I got a huge warning that my Next Door app had malware. Since I had only recently added the app to my tablet, I didn't think much of it at the time, other than thinking it odd. I removed it , but now I'm wondering if Next Door was hit by a cyber attack. Anyway, take heed of the tweet.

Yes, tray at the bottom for paper. I don't use an app for NextDoor, because I use an Amazon Fire tablet and they don't have an app. But they constantly try to get me to download the nonexistent app. Haven't heard anything on NextDoor, at least yet.

I love it! Hit "print" and Brother prints unlike HP. . No problems.

Yep, and that is why some of us have had Brother laser printers for the past 20+ years. I think I got my first one in San Francisco in 1998 and paid an exorbitant $250 for it, but I loved it from the start.

Has anyone heard of or use this device? Muama Ryoko is a pocket size wireless modem, which creates a Wi-Fi network around itself using 4G LTE. And you can have your own Internet anywhere, anytime. With the shut down of the 3G I have noticed my phone goes on LTE, it's a Motorolo tracfone, and this causes some problems when I am trying to connect to Lyft for a ride. I was thinking I could get this to take with me when I am out and about and then I wouldn't have an issue. Anyone know anything about this or something esle. I don't use public wifi, unless I am desperate. Thanks

Oh good grief, it has a monthly charge so I think I will have to look for another solution.

By the way a recent Consumer Reports gave various Brother Laser Printers top ratings, so the club is a good one.
