whew, heard from my friend, she has a lot of rain in her house, but it is still standing and not flooded, it has passed her. She wants to move in with me in NJ. (no!!!! I just got rid of my niece and her breaking things and not telling me, I need a break. This friend breaks things but does tell me. does no one know how to empty a vacuum anymore? How to clean under the bed? how to change sheets?)

#HurricaneIan dropped in strength by late Wednesday to Category 1 with 90 mph winds as it moved overland. Still, storm surges as high as 6 feet were expected on the opposite side of the state, in northeast Florida, on Thursday.
