So funny, in my old house with the bad TV in the bedroom (was going bad, the contrast was off and so it was very dark), anyway I got used to having to watch certain shows in the living room.
Just realized I was doing it tonight... I always came to the LR to watch Midsommer Murders, and I don't have to do that now, I can watch it in either room since I have the new TV's.

HAve a dental cleaning appointment today, finally getting back in to my normal routines. HOpe it goes well, it is a new dentist.
Other than that I need to cancell my ATT account and thanks to my email blast I have a few responses needed. Found out my Uncle died last December; I had no idea. I never see that part of my family and only usually trade Christmas Cards, so that was a surprise.
Anyway chores to do; off to have some breakfast and read the paper.

Spent an hour + at the dentist office, they didn't start my appointment on time and then gave me an estimate for a shitload of work I don't want done.
So now I need to find another place where I can just go and get my teeth cleaned. I think they have places that are just cleaning. I do have a cavity, which I knew about and they want to do a bunch of stuff I don't want. So I will call the other dentist I have used for cavities and just go have him fix it. He isn't on my insurance but he will fix it without all the other rigamarole, hmmmmm, maybe I will have my teeth cleaned there as well.
So that was frustrating and annoying!! Now I am hungry because I didn't get lunch but dinner is in an hour so I am just trying to clear eamil and twitter and play my morning games.
Oh, maybe I will have a slice of American Cheese to tide me over.

Working on my list, the most important thing is to clear out the Hutch of "crap", LOL. My friend is FINALLY coming home from Spain and she has my fragile bin. I can't wait for her to see the house, it has changed so much and I can get the final bin emptied and put away.
Also doing some minor things today. So far I used my portable stool to support the fan I use in front of the AC unit, this means the bin full of shredding is now out of site on the balcony. The kitties will probably be sitting on it soon.
I have the balcony door open and the kitties seem to really love running in and out chasing each other. So fun to see them enjoying the house.
I got the other decorative plate hung in the kitchen. I have fogotten how hard it is to hang stuff when you can't get up close to the wall, LOL. My friend is really tall so maybe she can hang some stuff for me.
Off to clear email and twitter while I listen to Taran on BB.

Still working on email and twitter. I have gotten a lot of responses to my moving email that I have to individually answer. It is nice to hear from everyone.
Got my ATT account cancelled and took apart the phone and answering machine. I must remember to go around to all my accounts and change the home phone number (I don't want a bunch of people calling me on my person cell, they can call the house cell.)
Oh and I need to put an answering message on the "landline cell" and see if there is a way to get it to pick up on the first ring.
Took out the newspapers and some small boxes and found my Petco box had arrived. I ordered a new litter rug for the bathroom, so need to get that open and set up.
Moving on down the list.

Ok, I think I have everything out of the hutch except things that will ultimately live there, so I am ready for the next bin.

Today I hope to just work my way thru my list, I need to send out some birthday cards, put up the dustbuster hanger ... oh and I need to research if I can get a new battery for the dustbuster. It still works fine, and I don't like to get replacements if you arent broke, but it doesn't hold a charge for very long. Need to put that on my list.
So far, getting updated on BB from Taran, clearing email and working my way thru twitter.

Sunday ... A day of gratitude
My friend got home from Spain and just missed the shutdown at SFO International Terminal for the bomb scare. I think she missed it by about 30 minutes, so amazing.
Anyway we are going out to dinner tonight to catch up and so I can see the pictures. Plus she has my last bin and I am excited for her to see changes made in my home.
Now I am off to make some coffee, grab the paper and see what is happening with email and twitter.

Got thru email and twitter, and the paper. Had a lovely brunch / breakfast. And just swept the bathroom and got the new rug put down.
It looks really good and I think it will be a better litter catcher than the other one I had.
Also did some spot sweep in the living room. Realized I had a computer update so got that done as well.

TNT, I am not sure but I think it is around 700 square feet. The regular 1 bedrooms are 633 and this one is larger than the norm.

Just going to work on my list, nothing real big on the list, just hanging stuff, sending some birthday cards.
TNT, this place is almost the same size as my old condo and I had noticed in the old place that I didn't hardly use all the space. So this size is perfect. The only thing that I miss is having a hall closet, but I managed to find spots for all the things I would have put in the hall closet.

Took out some trash and recycling on the way to dinner. Trying to find spots for the stuff I have sitting on the bar stools. Realized I could use my old mini "cedar chest" (that I got in high school, the cedar chest people used to give them out, I wonder if they still do that) to old some of my jewelry. So that worked out well.
I may just move it all to the hutch since I have plenty of room there for now.
Got thru email and finishing up twitter.

I did end up moving some stuff to the hutch and I have a plan for some other things. I keep forgetting I have a lamp sitting on the floor behind the sofa so I am going to move that to the top of the bedroom linen closet. It might come in handy in the winter when it is more gloomy out.

email done, still working twitter. Refilled water bottles and moved the xtra lamp to the top of the linen closet. It looks great but putting it up there reminded me I need to get it strapped to the wall.
It's sitting on carpet and the really pretty baseboards keep it from being pressed up against the wall. So put that on my sister list, LOL.

Moved the bin and it fits perfectly behind my new chair, then I put the goodwill box in it. It will give another hidey place for the kitties and get some stuff out of the way for when the cleaners come tomorrow.
And in that regard I am moving all the rollie walker things out to the balcony. I don't use them except to sit on while I clean out a lower cabinet and I haven't done that in a while so they can live out there for the time being.
Off to cee what's for dinner.

Still full from lunch so I ended up just having the soup and salad and a taste of the chicken, green beans and pasta. It was quite tasty, but I packed it up for later, LOL. Can't miss out on the dessert .... chocolate cream pie.
Also picked up the mail and arranged for a shuttle on Friday to Yans Bistro for Chinese with my friend
In the mail I got a check from PG&E giving me a refund. I don't understand why I got a refund, LOL. Off to check my account and make sure I am not going to get up to no power one of these days.

Holy cow, I have had free electric for some time apparently. I had set up power at this house on 5/18 and kept the power on at my old house until 5/23. I just assumed that since the power was on it must have been in my name. But since I got the refund check I went to see what was going on.
So I go online and they say I don't have an account , after much button pressing I finally got a person who set me up with a new account that starts today!!
Who knows if Carlton will ever bill me for the time from 5/22 to now! I guess I should mention it to them next time I go down to the lobby, don't want a surprise bill anytime soon.

It's cleaning day!! I have moved a bunch of stuff out to the balcony, the printer box, my rollies (one is going to live there permanently until needed), the baskets full of kitty toys (I need to consolidate to only one basket), so all I need to do in the living room is move the "cooler basket" onto the sofa and all the floors and rugs can be cleaned.
I also have a basket that I can put the kitter litter brush, toilet brush and litter holder in so I can move them easily out of the bathroom, so all that is left is to move the kitty box when they get here.
In the meantime I am working on email, games and twitter.
Off to grab my coffee and update stuff here.

Got thru email and opened up my packages. I noticed that my meds from Kaiser had to be forwarded and realized that I hadn't changed my address with them!
So I got that updated and scheduled my mammogram, which I had forgotten about and the first I can get is in September. Which works with my last booster, I was looking for one in August.
Got my package from Macy's and love the new shirts I bought. Now I think it is time for a spending moratorium, LOL.

Cleaning done so I can put the house back together. She did a good job on the kitchen, bathroom, mopping floors and vacuum. No dusting by her that I saw, but I am happy with the results. Not as good as the last one but I think that was the supervisor.
I can do the dusting, takes about 5 minutes and she did all the stuff I hate, mopping and vacuuming.
Nala was smart and hid out on the balcony, not sure where Sylvester went, LOL
Oh and they take out the trash and put in a new bag so that is always nice. She remembered I had kitties so she didn't prop the door open just used the lock to keep it "ajar". I have been wondering why they do that but it might be safety issue.
I will have to remember to ask someone about it, oh, maybe the van driver when I go to lunch tomorrow. If we don't have too many people on the bus she will tell me stuff.

Good grief, I just realized I might have accidentally dropped my PG&E refund check into the mailbox. I had a bunch of mail for other people that I wrote "not here" on and I dropped them off in the mail. I think my check got mixed up in that stuff.
And I finally figured the "odd smell" I had in the kitchen .... I had two onions sitting in a bowl on top of the microwave, the yellow one had rotted from the inside out.
The skin was still intact but the bowl had a bunch of watery yuk, and when I picked up the onion it collapsed! Everything in the bowl is trashed and the bowl is soaking. Lordy!
In a separate bag to to out to the trash.

Been busy this morning, got email cleared, set up the rest of the house. I forgot I had moved one of the kitty scratchers and I combined their 2 baskets of toys into one. Now I can offer the basket to the crafters or something.
Did a Safeway order, noticed yesterday that I was almost out of cream!! So that is coming later tonight.
And I have an appointment to set up my printer this afternoon. I think after my lunch at Yans Bistro I will have her drop me at Pet Express to pick up the kitty grass, that will save me $5.l
And then home for the weekend. Don't have many plans and that is fine with me.
