LOL, funny you should say that Juju. One of the reasons I decided to sell was to get off the board. I couldn't figure out a way to get off and stay. Well, and I knew some of the challenges that were going to be coming. Anyway, I did know that I was only getting help from the 2 other board members who didn't even own units. The other 2 owners just sat back and let me do things. Which, I will say was good for awhile because I could get things done but not ideal in that it was supposed to be a "group" effort.
Anyway, I was only staying on the board because I felt sorry for them, LOL. So I hope they figure it out.

Sunday .... HAPPY FATHERS DAY ....
To those with living fathers / grandfathers. This is one holiday I skip as mine are no longer with us.
We seem to be having a big brunch in honor of Fathers Day so I will reap the benefits of that and enjoy the rest of the day putting my house together.
It feels so close that I think I am going to sweep floors and put down and vacuum the living room rug.
But for now, I am off to make some coffee and finish reading the Sunday paper while my hair dries.

Two more bins are empty and my friend and I are going out to dinner tonight, so I can haul them out to the front and she can take them home! That is 7 bins leaving the house!! So excited I am getting things cleared out.
I still have a bunch of stuff just stuck into the bookcases to hold until I have room to deal with it. But I just rearranged the stuff on my counter so it looks like it was planned.
And she is bringing me her drill so I can finish building things tomorrow .... I can't believe I didn't think of it sooner. Using the screwdriver was killing my wrist so I would have to take breaks. Silly me.
Anyway, I am excited to be nearing the clean the floors and organize the furniture stage.

Just started by making coffee, but since I knew where my kitties were taking a nap I went out on the balcony and put all the stuff I had been gathering by the door into the storage unit. Amazing how much better the living room looks.
Plus I watered the plants, well half the plants, need some more water to do the rest. Plus I was able to place the plants differently so that I can get to the coffee table that I think will go in the living room.
Next up is to unpack the printer, then screw together the shoe rack (my friend brought me her drill).
Off to grab my coffee.

TNT, LOL, I started organized but I don't feel like it now. That is what happens when friends help you pack, hahahahaha. You lose track of things.
I am still looking for some of my desk stuff.
And now that I am in I realize all the stuff I don't really need, so my goodwill boxes are growing.

Printer in the bookcase, arranged a bunch of books that intend to get rid of for the lending library here but don't want to deal with that right now.
Moved the final boxes/bins away from the wall and got the chair under the dining room table.
Also got the office file cabinet set up. I had to put together a metal thing to hold the file cabinets.
Now researching some foam for my sofa. I have noticed that it is too low, hurts my knees to sit in it and then get out. So I am thinking some foam to increase the height of the chairs. Or maybe purchase some cushions to put down under the pretty blanket I use on the seat.

Yeah, real weird how those charity boxes keep on growing, and it has been going on six years since we downsized to a smaller condo (still 3/2/2). Remember to set up that free box, Dipo.

Earlier this morning I shut the house and turned on the AC unit ... supposed to go over 100 today.
Found a spot in the closet for my new hamper and it fits perfectly. Thought of a place for my vacuum / broom stuff that will work as well. But first I have to sweep and vacuum.
I know this is funny but I need to get the house cleaned up since the Housekeepers are coming on Thursday, LOL.
Also I am going to measure a few things today so I can go to the Habitat for Humanity Restore and maybe get a couple of cabinets! It is just down the street. I hope they have want I want because I don't think I can assemble any more furniture.
Although after I use this drill I may become an assembling fool.
Off to grab my coffee and get my email cleared.

Email is done and I used the drill to finish up the shoe holder. Amazing how fast that goes, LOL.
Then I unpacked another box that is mostly decorative items for the office and bookcases.

All living room boxes are opened and emptied. I still have a bunch of stuff that I put on the dining room table so I could be done with the bins/boxes. Have to figure out where it should go, but now I think I only have one small box in the bedroom that hasn't been emptied.
I will ponder where to put things tonight. I know where a couple of things will go and maybe I will transfer some of the pictures, etc., in the hutch to the top shelf of the bookcase so I can put stuff that actually belongs in the hutch in it, LOL.
I was able to get all the files put into the filing cabinet and might have a few more things to put in there but we shall see.

Today I finish putting stuff away, donating it or trying to find a place to put it.
So far I have hauled the boxes out to the recycle bin and moved the rest of the files I had stashed by my desk into the main file cabinet. This left me free to make the top cabinet in the little file cabinet my makeup area. I always put on my makeup at my desk and had all the stuff for that purpose in the bookcase behind the desk. Now that bookcase is across the room, LOL, so this works well and keeps it out of sight.
Cleaned up the kitchen and made coffee, so now I need to clear email and then I can get back to work.

Making progress, almost have the dining room table cleared and the bookcases are looking more organized with all the stuff I haven't figured out on the bottom two shelves (these will be hidden by the sofa).
PUt a few things outside and OMG is it hot!!! I didn't realize how warm it was until I stuck that stuff out there. Grabbed a couple of cushions to see if my plan to raise the seating level for the sofa will work.

Wow, those cushions on the sofa worked perfectly. I can now sit in it and it doesn't hurt my knees to get up and out.
I now have a clear living room floor, just need to get rid of some bins and the goodwill and I think we will be ready to start hanging the artwork.
I even have a plan in mind on where I am going to put some of the artwork.
I also need to get the HOA files boxed up and stored on the balcony. I think my sister can help with that this Saturday.

Today is Housekeeping Day (and HOA mediation day that I no longer have to deal with, LOL).
I do have a pretty presentable house, am interested to see how it works and what they do.
So far I am working on clearing email, measuring things and setting up my desk drawers. OH and I am expecting a Safeway delivery.
Off to grab my coffee and get busy on email.

Finished up email, paid some bills and transferred money around. I need to find my Rent billing so I can set up a payment for them but I really wanted to be able to pay by credit card and I haven't figured out how to do that yet. Something to work on.

Housekeeping came .. not impressed. Apparently they do not move anything in order to mop the floors, so now I know that I have to put everything up on the furniture before they came.
She did do a good job cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms, did great on the kitchen floor but just mopped around the kitty litter rug and bowl of kitty water in the bathroom. Didn't go anywhere near the office so I ended up pulled everything out and running the vac, then mopping under the desk and putting the kitty rugs / box back into place.
Absolutely no dusting whatsover, I thought they would at least run a dustrag over the tables.
So they did do the things I hate the most, cleaning the bathroom and doing the kitchen / floors.
I don't think she was even here for an hour. I shall inquire a bit more about what to expect and then see how it goes the next time.
Now I am waiting for my Safeway delivery.

Safeway came, all put away. So now just doing my normal daily stuff and working my way thru twitter.
Did I mention my phone isn't working! I need to call AT&T, and it occurred to me I haven't seen my princess phone, so I am wondering where that went.
I want it so I can see if the phone line is working and it is just the phone that is screwed up.
I called the number and get a busy signal.

Off to the bank this morning and then out for Chinese lunch!!!
Had a thought to move my dining room table over under the window and the file cabinet up against the wall. It will look better and provide a nice base for the lamp in that part of the room.
Plus a nice laying spot for the kitties to replace the laying spot they have been using on the file cabinet, LOL. I don't really use my dining room table, have thought about getting rid of it, but don't want to get rid of furniture tooo soon.
Off to grab my coffee and see if I can clear a bit of email before I have to go.

Had a fabulous lunch and I am cracking up because the Bank of America check that I deposited in my Bank of America account is pending until tomorrow.
Just makes me laugh that they don't trust their own check.
Now I am working on my other chores for the day.

We are finishing up the Catio today!! So excited. And the final goodwill boxes will be going out. Hope to finalize the furniture layout and going to the Restore to see if they have any cabinets I can purchase so I don't have to put together anymore things from the internet.

Got the major part of the screening done and then went out to breakfast. Swung by the Rehab store and got an amazing cherrywood table for $60; it is an extremely nice piece of furniture. It is Thomasville and has 3 drawers that I will have to figure out what to use them for.
I am going to move my TV onto it and move the table (wobbly) that it was on to the hall as a "reception" table.
I was bummed they didn't have any cabinets I could use in the bedroom, this this piece was a major find.
Oh and the feather duster mystery has been solved, it was in the back of my sister's car, LOL.

Ok, we goggled the furniture label and I found it on Ebay for $995. Mine has a few dings in the edges but you can't even see them. It is a sofa table but works great for my TV.
Catio is now complete, plants are back in place and watered so later tonight we shall have Kitty review of the new space they get to explore.
I did get the HOA files transferred to a "storage box" so I can get rid of that bin.
Now the only mysteries left are where is the princess phone, the 2 windchimes. I do have a box out in the storage room that I think some stuff might have been stuck in and I should check all those boxes in the storage unit to make sure they are actually stuff I want to store, LOL.
And now I can get to them to consolidate and use the storage space better
