3 loads of laundry going, heading down to drop of some trash and recycling and flip the laundry to the dryer.

Ok, this part of the laundry is done. Will probably do some more on Sunday ... sheets and towels, and hopefully it will be the last time I have to do laundry while hauling it up and down the stairs!!
My new place has "a lovely laundry room with places to sit and read a book", LOL. That's how it was described to me, it's up on the 3rd floor so I can take the elevator with my rolly cart.

Going to be a hot one today, so glad I got the laundry done yesterday. Probably just do some packing and office stuff (to keep cool).
Off to read the paper and catch the news.

As long as the elevator works. Lol. Ours at work does not always work. It's a real pain when it doesn't.

Well they do have two elevators and I haven't seen any reviews where there were complaints about it working. And boy, when you research reviews online people do really talk. I actually ruled out an apartment I was really interested in because it was mentioned the elevator was out for a month and a half, this was before I decided on the independent living place.
Finished up clearing email, now working on twitter.

Scrubbed the birdbath and rock, then refilled it and watered a couple of plants. Swept the bedroom so I can mop.

Moped the bedroom and the kitchen floors, then got the rest of the laundry put away.
My chewy delivery came so now I have another box LOL. Need to unpack it and figure out what I am going to use all the boxes I have for so I don't buy to many at Home Depot.

Going to be warm today but not as hot as yesterday so getting an early start. I have the house opened up to get as much nice cool air as possible but there isn't a breeze, LOL.
Swept the balcony a bit and refreshed the birdbath. The squirrel has already dropped by for a drink.
My friend brought over a bunch of plastic bins to use for my packing, only I wasn't really ready for them. That is why I swept the balcony. I also moved a chair over so there would be a place to put them until I want to pack in them. I hauled on group out and then finished packing a box of glassware I had for donation.
Taking a break before I haul out the rest of them to have some coffee.

Finished my last goodwill box so I hauled them out onto the porch. Put the foyer back together so I can put my Ewaste box for gathering.
Still didn't find my Starbucks card (I thought Sylvester had knocked it down on the floor ) so it's a good thing that I reported it and asked for a new one.
Time for some lunch. OH and did I mention I pulled all the recipes off the front of the fridge. I have them pilled up in the office to review and decide if I am keeping them or recycling, LOL.
Oh and a my new shower curtain came! I love it. Guess I need to start a "open first" box.

Got the rest of the bins out to the balcony, shifted the ewaste box over and then moved the kibbles my kitties don't like over for my sister to take this weekend.
I have a spot in my foyer table where I gather things for her, so the kibble have made it over too.

Dealt with my pile of recipes, they got recycled and then I did some banking. Also refilled the water bottles.
I need to check the birdbath, just saw the squirrel drop by again so it may need some water.

Refilled the birdbath, and finished filling the water bottles. Also cleaned off my coat rack.
Oh and I dusted the shelf in the bathroom so the house is looking pretty good, might be good enough to let the realtor come by, LOL.

Redid my lists for my sister and for the HOme Depot trip. Trying to make it a planned trip that uses the least amount of gas.
Have a few chores in mind and then I will see what else needs to be done.

How do the meals work at your new place? Most there have a set breakfast menu with choice of eggs, choice of meat, choice of cereal, choice of breakfast pastry; two entrees and three or four sides for lunch and dinner, and an a la carte menu of seven of eight sandwiches, four or five salads, and various desserts.

Sunday ... Time to relax and reflect
Didn't realize I hadn't been back to report my activities, LOL. And now I am trying to remember what all I did.
Today my sister and I are going to breakfast and then the Carlton and then Home Depot. Oh and a dropoff at Goodwill.
Now I am having some coffee and working on email / twitter.

TNT, it isn't clear what the breakfast choices are, they just say Continental and Assorted Breakfast Items. I suspect various pastries and probably scrambled eggs and sausage / bacon.
Then they show the dinner menu which always has a soup and a salad them 2 entrée choices and desert.
They also have a weekly salad entrée and sandwich special. The menu I have is Chinese Chicken and the sandwich is Grilled Cheese.
Sundays are brunch from 11 to 1pm.

Katycat, I do ... it was one of the things I had as top priority. AND I may be able to set up the balcony with some screen/netting so the kitties can go out and lay down out there as well which I always wanted to do here.
So man we got a ton of things done today. I gave my sister a bunch of stuff and determined things she does not want so I can find them other homes. Everyone keeps giving me boxes and bins and I don't know what to do with all of them, LOL.
My sister cleaned my slider, it is so nice now and of course, got distracted by the track and latch and ended up taking off the latch and oiling down the tracks. I had just wanted her to clean it, hahahahaha. And we got the alien tape (or something like it) at Home Depot and was able to tape up the electrical connecters that the former owner ran under the cabinets. Also put new bulbs in so they all work now.
Plus we got the boxes off to Goodwill and I took out the trash AND she took the basket I have been trying to get rid of for at least 5 years, LOL. I had put some sheets in it thinking the kitties might lay on it. They never did. So along with some knicknacks, glassware and the "unliked" kitty kibble she practically filled her car.
I now have a shelf in my kitchen where I will put other things I think she might want.
OH and we got to have breakfast before we went over to the new place and she liked the new place and we picked May 22 as my move in date.
Now I am pooped (even though she did most of the work ), I did wrap and package things to go and I need to finish reading the paper and playing my computer games.

Got email cleared, now I am going to go and finish the paper.
OH and we got the bins moved over under the roof so that when it rains on Monday and Thursday they will be ok.
And we also stopped and got the kitties some new kitty grass.

A wonderful rainy day... I just want to lay in bed and read books, LOL.
Not sure what I will work on today but I do need to contact the mover and the realtor.
For now I am going to go and start the coffee, read the paper and watch Perry Mason, LOL.

Last night I did make some hummingbird food and just now I cleaned and refilled the feeder.
Wow, it is chilly because of the gusty winds. I did the dishes and wiped down counters, scrubbed the stove and tried to clean the calcium off the kitchen faucet.
I did get rid of a bunch of stuff yesterday but I keep trying places to store all these boxes! Annoying.
Got thru email, working on twitter.

Realtor just left, she loved the place -- or at least she said so, said my kitchen layout was the best she had seen in all the units she has previously sold here. And she has only sold 2 bedroom properties and the 1 bedrooms are totally different, like I have a walk-in closet and the 2's just have those long closets on one wall. Oh and she said my balcony is better than those as well. That I know because the 2b ones are not very usable and I have a huge one that is very usable. So we are planning on photos next week, Easter is sort of screwing us up. Then on the weekend of the 22nd open house / showings.
So now I really have to get busy packing up stuff and having it ready to move around and hide for the photos, LOL.

So I brought in a couple of bins, the kitties busy investigating. I also changed out the wreaths, got the spring one down and put it on the door, then put the winter one on the bed while I did something else.
Just went back to the bedroom and Nala has decided to curl up inside the wreath for a nap, hahahaha.

Today will be office work and packing. I am going to just start several boxes and put things in them as I go. I was thinking I could easily pack my file cabinet, but in doing that there are a couple of files that I have to know where they are at all times like my "important papers" file.
So I am going to pull down my overnight bag and start that for things I find along the way that need special handling.
Also have a lunch date for Chinese!!
Now I am working on clearing out email, etc.

With as organized as you are approaching your upcoming move, Dipo, it sounds like it will go pretty smoothly!
Not a lot going on around here lately. My sis had surgery a couple weeks ago, so mom's been there mostly which means it's quiet here. I did get both girls shaved last week and bathed. Ollie got a bath over the weekend.
And then the wind kicked up bad and it's cooler so both girls were cold and had to get dresses back on, lol. Night before last wind was so bad it snapped a power pole and we went 7 and a half hours with no electricity. Luckily mom was at my sisters and me and Darren both had fully charged phones and kindles when it started so we were good.
Sunday is mom's birthday. We are doing Easter and her party together and doing it here. I'm hoping the wind dies down at some point (supposed to be bad all week) so that I can do things like dust and sweep/mop/vacuum! Be kind of nice to clean the house before the family shows up, lol.
