Sugar, a good bra is like glasses, you wear it every day and it makes everything look better. It will be tight to start. It is supposed to be. That is what holds you up. LOL. Just keep wearing it and you will be fine.

Karuuna, let me ask if Dillards knows about working with medical insurance for this. Might take me a few days...... I have the weekend off.

Karuuna, maybe call American Cancer Society 800 227 2345 as they might have information on how to get the prosthesis via insurance or know who knows. Dillard's may beat them to the punch, but hope the news is good. Here ACS has a great resource room in our local hospital but they stopped giving out wigs and fitting them The hospital took that on, in the same room. Not sure about prostheses.

I am not familiar with KNIX. If I learn anything about them tomorrow, I will let you know.

Thx anyways. Basically I'm looking for a supportive wireless bra with cross-back straps that won't slide off my small shoulders.

I just googled. There's a brick and mortar KNIX store downtown. Wahoo! (They advertise as an online store, so I'm pleasantly surprised.)

Never heard of Knix bras, MB. I would think your solution would be x-back bras, and there should be all kinds of x-back bras these days. Go to a store that has a lot of bras and ask the salesperson to find you some. Unless it's their first day on the job, the salesperson should know the merchandise.

Since they have a 30-day return policy, I wouldn't hesitate to buy online if downtown would be a hassle!

Alas and woe unto me, I will be returning my fancy frock as I was unable to find a bra that works with the square cut neck. The young woman who helped me at Dillard's was very nice and seemed knowledgeable. I did order a bra that should arrive next week. It was comfortable in the store, I hope it is comfortable when wearing longer than the short fitting time. It wasn't outrageously expensive which is nice. I refuse to wear underwire an bra. I imagine it has probably been over 15 years since I have done so. It is hard to find things when one is still "fluffy". There were no options for a lower cut style.
