Monday's Mission
got the dishes done and washed the birdbath as well. Also cleaned and refilled the hummingbird feeder, watered a couple of plants and noticed I need to go out and deep water everyone!. A
Made up my new list and have been clearing email.
Just working my way down my list.
And I woke up feeling great today, whatever that stomach issue was has finally gone away. I am thinking I might have had some food poisoning but the only thing that is different in my eating was some fried potatoes w/onions. I have been pondering if the oil was bad or if the onion was bad. Need to remember to google those foods.

Balanced my secondary checking account and paid a couple of credit cards. I woke up this morning with an urgent idea in my head that I needed to make sure my mortgage payment pay date had been changed from the first. I have only forgotten to change it one time but it really screws me up when I have to pay it before my SS payment deposits. Anyway, I had changed it.
Email is done and I am working on Twitter while waiting for the kitties from Afghanistan to arrive at TK in BC, Canada. I don't know all the details, they haven't been shared, but apparently these kitties have been having a time getting to someplace more permanent and TK is taking in 6 of them.
Very interested in hearing the entire story about their journey. TK is going to try are reunite with their families but says it is just as challenging to track the humans. If they can't find them they will get new loving homes.

Update: 131 cats have been in quarantine at the Vancouver Airport since Feb 1, "about a third" have already been identified by their owners... The six coming to TK are from the ones that haven't been found by their humans.

Restocked the kitty food and refilled all the water bottles, I have been trying to drink more water.
Ended up going out to Chipotle and picking up a dinner, then got some new kitty grass.
Working on clearing my email and twitter.

Email and twitter done! Plus I cleaned up a couple of piles in my office AND I dealt with the HOA email.
Off to research buying a new condo instead of renting and apartment.
Oh and I used the "old" kitty water to water some plants outside, then cleaned their bucket and refilled it.

Just working on my list, I need to add a few cleaning things to the list, LOL. I think I will do some work on my bedroom, and gather all the E-waste stuff I need to get rid of.

Hmmm, it sure feels like I was very busy yesterday but I didn't note any activities and chores, LOL.
I did look at buying another unit instead of renting, while there were some places that would have worked it finally occurred to me I don't want the trouble. I just want to move somewhere, get settled and let everyone else worry about stuff, LOL, so that was a task well done.
I have moved on to planning the move, I am going to find a notebook or something to start my lists of boxes and start doing some packing. That will help me to start getting rid of things, ie goodwill, etc.
I did complete a Safeway order and I am looking forward to our Atmospheric River coming thru later today.

Email cleared, Safeway order put away, dishes are done and the stove scrubbed.
Also did some spot mopping on the 2 kitty throw-ups, LOL.
Now off to twitter and finish up my DayDrinking Podcast.

I came to the same decision a dozen or so years ago! I have missed NOTHING about being a home-owner - In fact I am now looking into moving into a more supported living situation with built-in meals, housekeeping, transportation and activities. I am only considering senior communities that also offer a step-down into assisted living/memory care should those services be needed. The physical idea of moving is a bit daunting as most of my friends are as old as I am, BUT help of every conceivable kind is available for a price.

My horoscope says to take a break and relax, so today I am going to do whatever I want to do without worrying about all the stuff on my list.
TNTitanfan ... I looked at that option as well but they seem to be so expensive. I am waiting for that $5000 a week for life win from PCH, so I can move there, LOL.

Got thru email, did some straightening up in the kitchen and I got my Chewy box unpacked.

Boxed up some books and located the "foot" for my Lladro figurine. I need to find someone who can repair it. I have tried to glue it back on but I think it requires something special. Added to my task list.
It came up because that is the shelf I am packing up right now.

I think I will pull out the vac and use it in the office and a few other places, LOL.
Then continue working on boxing up the books after i log them into my 2022 donation list.
Now I am off to read the paper and have some yogurt.

Got through email and twitter, finished off my podcasts and now am just playing computer games and watching Zoo shows.
The sun has finally come out so it may encourage me to do a couple of chores, LOL.

Did they dishes while my coffee brewed, wiped down the counters, then came here to do a little email.
Off to grab my coffee and a muffin and get on with stuff. Oh, I did read the Sunday paper as well, so that is done.

I feel great today! back to my old self again, but the wind is blowing, hope my allergies don't kick up again.
I put away the dishes and then brewed my coffee and washed the remaining dishes and wiped down the counters.
Now I am clearing email and twitter.

Went out to refill the birdbath and the wind has died down so that it feels more spring-like again. So I swept the deck and watered a couple of plants. I should probably plan on watering everything, I don't think we are getting any rain soon.

I want the spring like weather back, lol. It'd be great except ever so often we get gusts of wind that are freezing cold.
Normal beginning of the month stuff here. Menus, shopping (all done as of today,) bill paying, and balancing the checkbook. House is clean, laundry is done.
Yesterday we spent some time cleaning up out back. Was starting to get a bit weedy so I hula hoe'd the yard while Darren moved a short fence we had around the flower bed (no actual flowers there, lol.) We're now blocking off the side of the house where we have the pea gravel cuz the dogs were just tearing it up anytime they got out there running around. They still have plenty of yard left, plus they can hang out on the side of the house with us when we are out there.
So, felling pretty good about how much we accomplished and oh, oops, automatic garage door won't shut. It goes down but before it gets all the way, it goes back up. Darren gets out and looks and the wire on the pulley doohickey broke. Put in a claim with the home warranty people and garage door people called today, they will be here Wednesday. Darren has work training so he can't take the day off, so I will be dealing with them.
Other than that, not a lot going on here. We were riding our bikes everyday, then day before the storm hit, my sinuses blew up so we skipped the ride that day (was it last Wednesday? Tuesday?) and then rest of the week was just nasty. Yesterday would have been ok, but we were working in the yard and today was shopping. Oh, and Darren has to stop by Caleb's tomorrow, so probably not then either. I'm hoping for Wednesday, but see another storm is on the way in by later in the week so we will see.
On the plus side, I did find this great crate to use as a picnic basket (Darren will be cutting me out a piece of wood to use as the top) and plastic utensils/plates/bowls and a picnic blanket, so I am all ready for my picnic in the park. Just as soon as we have nice weather.

Well we got really GOOD weather this morning!! So I made some hummingbird food this morning and now I have the feeder soaking in some Clorox water, it was looking a bit moldy.
Have my list of things to get done and I am now going to go and finish cleaning the feeder. I just saw a hummer getting a drink at the birdbath ... first time ever!
And the hummers are coming around looking for the feeder, like, what is going on here, LOL>

ok, feeder is very clean now, LOL, but it was hard. Because the top is a bottle opening and small I don't have anything I can get down in it except a Starbucks straw and I use an unbent big paperclip to get around the neck. But it manages to get it done, LOL.
And the feeder is back up on the balcony and has already had a visitor.

Got email and twitter cleared and was enjoying the lovely afternoon looking out at the birds and squirrels while I played my computer game.
Then had to go to the potty and started a "Snowball", LOL. I got distracted and decided that after I cleaned the kitty box I would put some lye down the drain since it has been slow.
So I flipped up the bathmat, and the tub was disgusting! I don't see it because I take my glasses off before I get in the shower, anyway, I did the lye and once that was done I got out the scrubbing bubbles and sprayed the upside down bath mat, which led to cleaning the tub floor, then I noticed a couple of bath scrubber lotions on the corner and it looked terrible. So I pulled those down and then scrubbed the sides of the tub/tiles, etc.
Anyway now the tub is clean so when I next shower I can do the walls of the shower. When that was done I went back to playing computer games.
At least it was on my list, I had lye the shower and clean the bath mat, just got a little bit extra stuff done.

So far so good, it is nice out so I have the doors open to run some fresh air thru the house but I saw on the news that the winds are going to pick up so I will need to close it up then or my allergies will kill me, LOL.
Right now it's time for some yogurt and the paper, then later today I will finish off the bathroom by putting vinegar on the showerhead.
Also have some banking work and HOA email stuff to do.
For now I am going to go and read the paper while I catch up on the news.
