Seems weird. I used my microwave 90 minutes ago. Worked fine. Now want to heat something for supper. Turn it on -- LOUD noise. Stop it and open door. Kinda hot metallic smell inside. Tried it a few times with same results. Called repair service who fixed door last year. He said -- time for new microwave.

Microwave is a pretty simple basic appliance. Think I will look on-line at Abt and buy from there. They will deliver and install. Very reputable and popular shop in the Chicago area where I am.

This old one is a Maytag. (Family business. I have relatives who live in Newton, Iowa and worked for Maytag.) Any suggestions for a new one?

That was fast. Called Abt. This is it. First available date for delivery, installation, and remove old is next Tuesday. I haven't turned on stove-top in something like three years. Don't plan on it. I'll survive -- I hope.

Learned from Abt that the wattage of a microwave is determined by the size of the cavity. All microwaves cook at the same power.

Out here they are searching for a Playmates delivery guy who was caught on camera, delivering to a building with a lobby and on the way out, he scoops up some packages from Amazon and off he goes.

I have never heard of Postmates.

I looked it up. We don't have Playmate or Postmate delivery here.

We got a Dickey's BBQ in a small town near us a couple years ago. We have not been there yet, but HAVE been to the one in Rancho Cucamonga, CA to meet Seamonkey, Pamy, Egbok, and Rosie several times. (I "think" Egbok came out there once, not sure; Seamonkey will know)
