Paper done, dishes done, just rode the bike for 10 minutes and now I am having some lunch... 2 pot stickers and some sushi.

We had a pretty quiet day here today. I spent part of it watching the Doctor Who marathon.
We'll take the outside Christmas decorations down tomorrow, inside will come down through the next week or so.
Been doing just minor chores last week since this coming week is taking down decs and doing a good dusting/vacuuming/sweeping while I do that.

Sunday ... A day of reflection and relaxation
Mad the coffee and grabbed the paper, refreshed the birdbath because it was frozen.
LOL Wargod, I saw that Dr. Who marathon, caught a few shows myself, but now I am watching the Resident Alien marathon.
Not sure about the chores for today but I plan on riding my bike, taking out some trash and recycling and getting the mail.
Oh and trying some other martini recipe. My pomegranate martini was horrible because I didn't realize that my pomegranate juice was over a year old, so had gone bad. It was fun trying tho, LOL

Got thru all my email / twitter and got through the Sunday paper.
Next is the bike and then take out the recycle and trash.

Ran to the grocery store for a few things I needed. Made some pasta dough (it's in the fridge cooling down or whatever it's supposed to do until I run it through the pasta maker to flatten and cut it*,) then helped Darren get the outside decorations down. And while he was putting them all in the shed, I did a quick dog cleanup of the backyard.
Other than making dinner later, I have no plans for the rest of the day.
*Since finding out I was gluten intolerant, I've been on the hunt for decent pasta (and bread and crackers and, well anyway) and have come away disappointed. Zoodles are ok, but sometimes I'd like pasta. So, I decided to try making pasta with gluten free flour and I'm so happy, lol. My sister bought me a pasta maker for Christmas and it's made the whole process much more successful. I'm still new enough to homemade pasta that occasionally I have a spectacular failure, but like 90% of the time is awesome. I'm making chicken noodle soup tonight, pretty interested to see how it turns out with the homemade noodles.

Oh, that sounds wonderful. I got my friend a pasta maker for Christmas one year and she really enjoyed it.

Not much on the list for the day: Bike, Dishes, Refill water bottles, New brita filter and just the normal HOA email, my email and twitter, take out trash and recycling, get the mail, plus computer games.
So far I have made coffee and got the dishes done while I waited for it to brew.
Off to read the paper, play games and enjoy my coffee.

Cleared the HOA email and it is time to change the filter on the brita container so I took it all apart and scrubbed it down, then ran some bleach thru the spigot so it is all clean and drying now! And I have the new filter soaking so it will be all ready to go when I put it back together.

Put the Brita dispenser back together and filled it with water, need to refill some water bottles now.
But first I want to ride my bike, then get my coffee, read the paper and play a few computer games.
I did make a new list so I have a plan for the day.

MY NEW TABLET is here!! I am so excited! I have it charging as we speak, can't wait to get started with it. I still have my tablet in the bedroom but it older and I have found the graphics are much better now in the newer one.

Got my new tablet set up and it works great. Interesting that it normally comes with headphones and this time they are earbuds.
Just got the coffee brewing, grabbing the paper and getting started.

The chicken noodle soup, with homemade noodles, turned out awesome. The noodles were kinda ugly (I haven't gotten the hang of neat, mostly even, noodles yet, lol) but tasted fantastic. Dakota and her bf stopped by and ended up staying. I'd told her how great the homemade pasta was compared to store bought and she was pretty surprised and was talking about getting herself a pasta maker, lol.
Things are pretty much back to normal after the holdiays around here. Er, except I haven't taken down most of my Christmas decorations. I'm in no hurry, with the shorter days and covid coming back forcefully and keeping us home more and more, I like the lights. However, I will probably end up taking most of it down this weekend, might keep some lights out though!
So far today, I balanced the checkbook, ordered my sister's birthday gift, and have made a Costco list. That's our plans for this afternoon. I'd kinda like to avoid it, but my fridge is nearly empty and the freezer isn't that much better.

Got thru the HOA email and finished getting thru twitter. Got my Safeway receipt and I have some sort of Sushi Party Tray as a substitution, can't wait to see what that is all about.
Moving on to the rest of my list. I need to check my budget and retirement account and request my annual withdrawal.

Wow, I finally made myself take out 3 bags of recycling, one trash and a box. Then I went and got my mail. I have a bunch of packages! I only remember one gift I got that hadn't been delivered.

Figured out my budget so I can request withdrawal from my retirement account. And when I was working on the budget I found this very cool ability in BofA to set up a budget, they use all the charges from your accounts and checking payments to categorize everything.
It is really cool and I will use it more since I not see it. The only thing is it doesn't categorize the stuff from other credit card payments, naturally. But I can do that manually. Now I just need to figure out how to see the annual numbers for the categories and sync them up with my excel sheet so I can see if I need to change any of the numbers.
Oh and Safeway delivery came, it's all put away. I ended up with a sushi party tray that has some sushi I may or maynot like, we will see tomorrow.
And I did get the the shelves in the fridge wiped down before the delivery came.

It's been a busy morning! Made some hummingbird food, got thru the newspaper and cleaned the birdbath.
Then I cleaned and refilled the birdbath, cleared my email and took a shower.
LOL, while I was in the shower, Sylvester meowed at me and then walked between the shower curtain and liner, yelling at me to get out, LOL. He doesn't always do this, just occasionally. I always wonder if he knows something I don't and that there might be a problem.
Not sure what else I will work on today but I have dinner at 6pm with friends and need to get caught up on twitter.
Off to twitter and the rest of TVCH.
