Some interviewer made a big deal of being the first black host of DWTS, but then they had to change that to "solo host" because there was a co-host with Tom who is a black woman. I did not remember her and still do not.

If you are Chuck Woolery and your son dies or has lifelong repercussions from this disease, how do you ever forgive yourself?

Things getting worse for Nick.. And apparently he got flak for finally apologizing. https://www.tmz.com/2020/07/17/nick-cannon-daytime-talk-show-debut-postponed-controversy/ So he cannot be pro black without being antisemitic??

Sea, one thing has NOTHING to do with the other. He spouted antisemitic HATE SPEECH. He acknowledged it himself and apologized for it - once there was a public outcry AND Viacom fired him. Now he's unhappy because his apologies didn't sit well with (other) antisemites. Guess he's caught between a rock and a hard place. Better if he'd kept his distressing hateful opinions to himself in the first place. To your point: One can be Proud of their race, religion, colour, etc, without believing in and spewing hate to other groups. Jews have always been at the forefront of social justice. We were an integral part of the creation of the NAACP, and marched and DIED in MLK's civil rights march, etc. Feel free to Google to confirm. This is a VERY SENSITIVE AND PAINFUL topic for me. Not planning to get into a messy debate here. Just felt this needed to be said in all fairness.

His anti white musings didn’t go unnoticed either. He didn’t get the Roseanne treatment.

Mame, I hope you know I was being sarcastic! No need to Google. I lived in Michigan in the fifties, 9 years of them, and in the later of those became aware of the antisemitism of Henry Ford (my dad worked in Dearborn, Michigan, at their headquarters, in a building that is still there today. And other Ford areas of Dearborn (which we toured)included the River Rouge plant where steel was forged, the Rotunda building that looked like a stack of years (which I think burned down at some point) and Greenfield Village, where his collections were on display, entire cottages from England, train locomotives, cars, Thomas Edison's entire workshop. And Camp Dearborn, where groups could stay. Our Girl Scout troop was one such group. Our leaders (one was my mom) were told NOT to bring anyone that was Jewish! It was that blatant. Detroit was so segregated that was not an issue, but it was crazy that they brought it up As an adult I learned about the Nazi scientists and engineers and doctors brought to the U.S. for their knowledge (despite the fact that some of them should have been tried for war crimes). Ford was a fan (He was not alone in this). And today,Dearborn is the most Muslim city by percent in the U.S. Read this.. There is that admin building. Seems like the first group not allowed in Dearborn were black. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dearborn,_Michigan And read on to see how Henry Ford's anti semitism was not to be mentioned even recently. ... So I do struggle when oppressed groups seem pitted against each other instead of against the oppressors.

Dear Sea, now I feel awful for misreading your post... and just want to hug you! (Yes, Ford was a HUGE antisemite, racist and fan of Hitler. Horrible man.) Thanks for the vid of W. Kamau Bell. I have a ton of respect for him and love his show. Here's an EXCELLENT article by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in The Hollywood Reporter on the topic of current antisemitism: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/kareem-abdul-jabbar-is-outrage-anti-semitism-sports-hollywood-1303210 (If the link is too long, please shorten it. I don't remember how, I'm sorry.)

Here's a great article and video with ex-NBA star Charles Barkley supporting Kareem's point of view. Also basically saying he wants allies in the Jewish and white communities. And that hate begets hate, etc.

I just realized Kim Kardashian's 40th birthday is in a couple months. I wonder if she will have a breakdown.
