help! I was keeping things in Gmail archive, but it is not on my computer now. it only goes back to when I bought this computer. does gmail not live in some cloud but downloads? Or does it have a 1 year limit, I need to find some old records I sent in to someone. I can't find the paper file.

Just search for gmail (using google) and look at your mail using your web browser. Gmail never deletes anything (that's what is good and bad about it depending on your perspective) so it should all be still there.

I was signed into g-mail. My account is still there, but only emails up to until Jan 2018. everything before is missing. maybe if I drag out the old computer and turn that on I stopped using the old computer because it crashed several times a day, as the hard drive had so many bad sectors,it was about 8 years old.

Just randomly clicked on this, and I realise it's a month old, but in case you're still needing help... On your old pc, did you have your gmail set to download to outlook or a mail program on that pc? Gmail has an option to delete mail once it's downloaded (which can be turned on or off), so if you were downloading them before that might be a reason why they're not online now.

HELP google account - my daughter somehow changed my google account email which I used a non gmail account to some non-existant gmail account email. I have set my google account to use my non gmail email and to use it for recovery etc., but it won't let me take this stupid gmail address off - my name is still there with this gmail address....anyone know how to get rid of it...it says I can't change it...but how did she change it in the first place...so frustrated

Don't think you will get an answer here, Skootz. I can't even figure out what you are asking.

I’m a bit confused as well. Is it the recovery email that you’re concerned about?
