RLS yes. Sometimes, I'm stretching my legs so much to try and relieve it, I end up getting a huge Charlie horse!

Sometimes I get the same feeling of RLS in my arms as well.

Ugh. Thanks a lot for the apparent subliminal suggestion. A nice little flare up keeping me from sleeping.

Leg cramps - seems to happen more as we age (says the ole dawg), but try to drink as much water as possible, they say. I also take a daily supplement of turmeric (active ingredient curcumin, which is present in curry), and it seems to be effective. I just take one supplement pill (450 mg) daily, haven't had charley horses in a while. If you Google turmeric, it seems to be good for everything, so I don't see any real down side, doesn't seem to be harmful, and a LOT of people in the world ingest it every day.

I take curcumin, among other supplements. This week I saw a doctor who has devoted his practice to study of dementias, and preventions.

We talked about each of my many supplements, he did a cognitive test which I passed with 100% (this was simpler than tests I had for the clinical trial).

He said considering my negative for amyloid plaques brain PET scan earlier this year, he would like to follow me yearly for his trial.

The best part is he charges nothing, even when he orders a PET scan.

But.. He agreed that there was some evidence that checking is good to take for brain health.

He also was happy about my D3 intake.

In fact, he said, "I like what you are taking".

I hadn't heard of a curcumin link to helping with leg cramps, but that is good to hear.

I agree that hydration is key, and exercise too.

what supplements do you take Seamonkey? And what are they supposed to be doing?
Do you get stomach upset easily taking a lot of things? I have problems even with vitamins at times.

New question:

You answer an online poll with a yes or no answer, but you accidentally clicked yes when you meant to click no!

What do you do?

A) eh, whatever, just leave it as is

B) click no twice to make up for it

C) something else

(The poll lets you answer as many times as you want.)

I've seen back buttons on many of these things and I usually click the back button to try again.

Don't really answer polls, but if I had to guess I would just move on.

New Q: What are you making for New Years Eve or New Years Day? Foodwise, LOL.

I usually make some black eyed peas, but haven't figured out what else yet.

New Year's Eve will probably be pizza, so I am guessing New Year's Day will be leftover pizza

Nothing specific.. Going out to eat an early dinner, so it depends where we go.

Peas or beans will NOT be included.

New Years Eve we usually have a nice steak and lobster dinner (cooked by Chef Jim ) and then follow that up with some champagne in the evening. We used to go out but we gave that up long ago as we found it overcrowded and over-priced.

New Year's Day: boneless spiral ham, steamed cabbage with bacon, mashed potatoes, & the dreaded black eyed peas (however, I doctor them up so they're not so bland).

We are doing a beef fondue on New Year's Eve. Not sure about the next day though.

I’m cooking what Docdog is cooking. This is for my German heritage hubby. I’m making gravy to go with it.

My doctor sent me home with two tamales today.

Not my tradition, or his, but a really yummy one! They were so good.
