A. Definitely. asked dh. He's a C. Then asked about muffins. I'm for the top part...he's for the bottom. So, we are the perfect brownie/muffin partners. Too bad we seldom eat either. Lol

Instead of frosting, here's what we do. When you just take the brownies out of the oven and they are still warm, pour a bag of milk chocolate chocolate chips on top evenly. After setting a few minutes, they will be melty enough to spread like frosting. Then if you eat the brownies while they are still warm, it will be like a milk chocolate frosting. And if you eat them after they have cooled overnight, it's like having a layer of chocolate candy bar on top. It's so yummy either way!

Frosting? Never! A good brownie doesn't need frosting. I avoid the ones with. They are never any good. (Naja, I'm not going to tell my daughter about your little trick -- I'm sure she'd love it, she's a choco-holic!)

C The soft middle piece. The gooeyer the better.

I love homemade brownies with frosting. One time, I put the frosting on too soon, and it kind of melted halfway into the brownie mixture. Baked a bit more, and they were ooey gooey. My SIL thought they were the best things ever. Have not been able to quite duplicate it. Don't really bake any more though.

A. I'm not a big fan of chocolate, but on the rare occassions I want a brownie, I want a corner piece. My sis found these nifty brownie pans a few years ago, instead of being one big pan, it's three loaf size compartments, so every piece of brownie is an edge piece. Works great for pumpkin bread too.

A. corner piece all the way. As for frosting, no. But dust it with a nice layer of powdered sugar, and it's perfect!

I prefer cake brownies. There is so much criteria to determine to the "perfect" brownie!

New question: Soft chocolate chip cookie or crunchy chocolate chip cookie?
