A very yummy pork loin roast made on the Showtime rotisserie, potatoes au gratin, and a salad with light bleu cheese dressing.

This evening we had mostaccioli in meat sauce, steamed broccoli, and a sliver of garlic bread.

For dessert we had Christmas cookies that DH couldn't pass went I sent him for eggs :-)

hahahahaha. I have problem like that with some chocolate covered cherries, I thought there was only 11 in the package because it said 11 servings. Apparently they consider 2 or 3 a serving so now I have more than wanted, LOL.

Tonight it's Marie Callender's beef pot pies. Oven baked, not microwaved. The crust turns out yucky in the microwave.

Naja, I bought the family sized one they make now, chicken, we had it last night because I was to lazy to cook anything else.

I am making a pork loin with some rice and some broccoli.

Those pies sound good (as does the pork loin). I made grilled barbecued pork chops tonight.

LOL, for some reason I don't like pork loin, or pork chops, but I love sausage and bacon.

You guys, our shake n bake pork chops were so good! It's taking ever bit of my self control not to go eat one of the 3 leftover chops. I got a family pack of what they call "breakfast chops". They are regular pork chops, but sliced very thin, less than a half inch.

DH wanted macaroni and cheese with his, so that's what he got. I am trying to be health conscious, so I had a side salad instead.

I made some chicken in the slow cooker with a paprika gravy. I bought some chicken pot pie ravioli from Trader Joe's (They are soooo good!) and used the gravy on top of them. I also made a tossed salad.

My husband works late tonight so it's probably something like a grilled cheese sandwich for me.

It'll be pork tenderloin w/ apple, thyme, dill, mashed potatoes, and a cucumber, tomato, onion salad with a tangy vinaigrette. Brining the left overs (and there will be plenty) to a elderly woman who lives down the street. She hasn't been looking particularly good these days. OH, and (poor woman Mrs. Left overs) I'm bringing her the left over donuts from the office.

Lilfair, that sounds so good. I have a foot and a half long pork loin on the freezer that I am trying to think of something new to do with.

Cinnamon is good on pork loin and it smells so good while cooking.

Garlic and pork always works for me. Grill it outside or stick it in the oven. As along as I'm careful not to over-cook, it's good to go.

Cinnamon sounds so weird, Seamonkey....LOL
But you have me curious. When I do cook the pork loin, maybe I'll slice off and inch from the end and try the cinnamon to satisfy my curiosity.

Lilfair, when I roast a tenderloin (in the rotisserie), I usually put salt, pepper, and garlic. Same with prime rib or or other beef roasts. To me that is the most yummy uncomplicated flavoring ever.

I use a coffee rub on pork chops - coffee, chili powder (chipotle), a wee bit of brown sugar, paprika, salt, pepper, and garlic. Brown in pan, cook in oven ... yummy!

Our supper tonight, though, was actually a vegetarian dish with 2 types of mushrooms, orange pepper, red onion, asparagus, and spinach in a veggie broth/cream sauce mixed in with a whole wheat/quinoa penne pasta. The seasonings had 4 types of pepper, so it had some kick!

Naja I am sure we used garlic and or onion powder, not salt .. but the cinnamon was really good.. not massive amounts of course.

We used to include cinnamon in our spaghetti meat sauce too.

I'm glad this thread is going again. I love hearing what people are making. :-)

Last night I made home made burgers. I start them on a cast iron grill and then finish them by broiling in the oven. It's a great way to make them.

My dad always rubbed cinnamon on pork chops. I love them.

We are going to order a pizza early since my husband has to work tonight. I'm good with that :-)

We had Capt'n D's fish n' fries. Yummy!

My mom used to include coffee when she cooked her roast beef. Also yummy!
