Tonight for dinner I had something I saw on a TV commercial.

A slice of rye bread with a layer of mayo. Then slices of beautifully ripe avocado, sprinkled with real bacon bits. It was so darn yummy.

Did anybody else see that commercial? I suggest trying it :-)

I am trying a tuna (I am substituting leftover chicken) steamed green beans, chickpeas, red pepper slices, red onion slices salad with a balsamic dressing. I saw it in a newspaper supplement and I thought I sounded excellent.

I'm in the middle of making a lasagna for dinner. Soon it will be much to hot to use the oven, so I thought I would get one more lasagna in before summer.

Some people might not like that but you can invite me to dinner anytime.

We had lasagna tonight. Every Sunday my oldest DD (who is 15 now) cooks dinner for us and we had the rest tonight!

Tried a new recipe tonight that can be found here: CLICK. The cook mentioned on the show that salmon could be used, so that's what our version was as we've got tons of it the freezer from DH's fishing last summer. Totally delicious and highly recommended!!

I just threw a meatloaf in the oven. I am taking advantage of probably the only day in the 70s for the rest of the summer. It's been in the 90s.

We haven't had steaks for quite awhile, so I got 2 T-bones to cook out on the grill, and a couple twice baked potatoes, to enjoy during the All-Star game tonight.

Tonight I am going to have a big shrimp cocktail. I'm not sure if I am going to have anything with it.

DH is on his own since he is allergic to most seafood. (I think he fakes it)

We had a breakfast for dinner again. I like doing that once a month or so. We had breakfast burritos with scrambled eggs, crumbled breakfast sausage, diced tomatoes, sliced avocado, and cheese inside.

Made up a WW pizza dough last night and then we topped it with thinly sliced romas, sauteed onions, bella mushrooms, black olives, oregano, and a bit of feta.
