James Van Der Beek, of Dawson’s Creek fame, has passed away from cancer at the age of 48. My heart goes out to his wife and six children.

The Oscar-winning actor died peacefully in his home, his wife said.
Oscar-winning actor Robert Duvall, who starred in The Godfather and Tender Mercies, has died at 95, his wife announced Monday.
“Yesterday, we said goodbye to my beloved husband, cherished friend, and one of the greatest actors of our time,” his wife, Luciana, wrote on Facebook. “Bob passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love and comfort.”
A cause of death was not immediately released. The Hollywood Reporter writes that Duvall lived on a ranch in Virginia.
The self-described “Navy brat,” who grew up mostly in Annapolis, Maryland, won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role as a former country music star in the 1983 classic Tender Mercies. That role came a decade after he portrayed the trusted family lawyer Tom Hagen in The Godfather.

Rev. Jesse Jackson , civil rights leader who marched with MLK JR has died at 84
He was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2017 and in November diagnosed with a degenerative condition, progressive supranuclear palsy. His father had Parkinson's and died at 88 in 1997.

Rev. Jesse Jackson, longtime civil rights activist, Baptist minister and two-time presidential candidate, has died at age 84, his family said.
A cause of death was not immediately given, but his family says he died peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones.
His activism spanned decades, including two runs for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1984 and 1988.
