It's Clean your Car and Purse Day AND time to clean your windows! Don't forget the sill and frame.
Cleaned up the kitchen, dishes are soaking, brewed the coffee while I unloaded the dishwasher. Then I wiped down the counters, cabinets - I spilled some cream, LOL. then I got the fan going in the living room, watered the inside plants and did Day 8 of Lazyfit.
I am going out to dinner tonight so need to do my makeup and hair- letting it airdry today. When I leave I will take out the trash which includes stuff from the fridge - don't want to get it out till closer to time since the warmer temps make everything stink!
Off to email/socials.

Saturday ... a day for fun ...
I had a great dinner last night and for some reason woke up really tired, so I cancelled HOusekeeping, fed the kitties and went back to bed, LOL.
Finally came back to the living around 2pm, don't know what that was about. Cleared email/socials, the kitchen, refilled soda bottles and made the coffee.
Also did Day 8 of Lazyfit!!!! so now I can take my coffee and go back to the bedroom and play some computer games for awhile!

Sunday ... A day of rest and reflection
I grabbed my yogurt and the Sunday paper after cleaning up the kitchen and feeding the beasts, LOL. Back to bed.
Safeway order is coming soon and I think I will play $5 Bingo after brunch today.

Great Memorial Day BBQ, unfortunately today turned a bit colder and windy! The Bistro still managed to get all the food grilled and on the line for the buffet. BBQ Chicken, Hot Dogs and Hamburgers with all the sides and some watermelon and ice cream for dessert.
I ended up cleaning up the bathroom and office areas - how is it kitties throw so much litter around, LOL.
Guess I will catch up on my computer games now and enjoy the rest of the day.

Dipo, I have a friend here in my over-55 independent community who has a 92 year old mother who lives in an over-55 assisted community like yours in Pacifica, CA. My friend gave me some advice from her mother - which was - opt for a facility that has a food buffet rather than fixed menus. She said the buffet is a game changer, in that you don't have to wait to be seated, and you can quickly get whatever food you feel like eating at that meal.
It is sort of akin to going on a cruise ship these days, where the better food experience is at the buffet.
My friend is a brilliant woman, as are you, as presumably are most of us still here on this message board. So, I assume my friend's mother is also brilliant.
And kudos to the also to the brilliant men who have stuck with us all these years.

It's Planning Day AND Home Blessing Day (since yesterday was a holiday) AND time to declutter the living room.
I have a few things on my list but mostly doing the laundry it at the top. I need to unload the dishwasher and find a printer for the Newsletter.
For now I am clearing email/socials and grabbing a yogurt, the newspaper and watching Perry.

Juju a buffet sounds good but I hate them, LOL. I don't like standing in line and it's hard to keep the food hot. They have a hard enough time keeping the food hot when they serve it. I don't know why that is, since I know that the Cruise ships manage it well.
Our Memorialday Dinner was a Buffet and even though the burgers, hotdogs and chicken were in those warming chafing dishes, they were not hot.
Plus so many of these people use walkers it is hard for them to stand in line and get their food.
It's a good idea it just doesn't work very well here.

Another good point, LOL. Plus yesterday it became clear how many people we have in wheelchairs. And we have one lovely man in the last stages of ALS who rarely comes down.
Everyone came down for a bit and enjoyed the "big feast".

Dishwasher is unloaded and kitchen has been cleaned up. I got the laundry washed and it is currently drying.
I was researching printer and DocuPrint wanted almost $70 to do my printing, $20 of that was for delivery. I was shocked. Just emailed to see if I can pay to have it printed here. Otherwise, I guess I will have to take it over to the UPS store and print the Newsletter there.
Off to check on socials.

Laundry is done, normally I would throw it all over the bed before I fold it but... the kitties are both laying there and gave me the evil eye. So I am going to sit here at my desk and fold clothes. It is only panties and cami's so it won't be like I am folding pant, tshirts and sheets.
I also need to get the hang dry stuff out and put it around the house.

It's Anti-Procrastination Day AND time for a detailed vacuuming of the living room, get under the furniture and at the baseboards.
Yesterday I did my Lazyfit, then I hung socks and microfiber towels all over to dry. I just put all the socks together this morning and they are put away. Last night I folded all the panties/camis and got those put away, so laundry is officially done, except for the bag in the hallway. That's the comforter and sheets coming back.
This morning I pulled out the Plug Block and dustbusted along side the nightstand and a little under the bed. I had noticed it looked like some stuff had missed the hanging trash bag, so much better now.
Cleaned up the kitchen, brewed the coffee and I stripped my Rotisserie chicken so the bones can go out to the trash.
Working on socials/email now.

It's Errand Day AND time to sofa/chair dive and clean out under those cushions.
I just finished cleaning up the kitchen, running the trash out to the bin and cleaning the kitty boxes.
I missed yesterday because I was feeling exhausted, I have no idea why, but after i got back from lunch with my friend I just crawled into bed and stayed there for the rest of the day.
I feel great this morning so I must have just needed some rest and a break.
So now I am catching up and having a normal day. Off to email/socials.

Got thru email / socials and Day 11 of Lazyfit done!
Dealt with all the piles on my desk and created a new chore list, also scheduled a meeting on Sunday to purchase my Neptune Society plan. I sold some stock to cover the cost, I was very surprised to see how high some of my stocks have gone since I don't check everyday. T makes the stock market so erratic I haven't been checking as much.
Off to dinner and then I will deal with my Chewy box and laundry bag.
