i loved it. I loved how they managed to fit emotions in the book into the film. I also loved that the film was like the book in that the buildup was there but took it's time getting to the end so you saw the whole story.

Hauntingly powerful film. Am still thinking about it. Had no idea is was first a book. Just finished reading Hunger Games and I'll never look at a bow and arrow the same.

We watched this the other day and I purposely did not read anything about it first due to some of the comments here, so I had no idea of what the premise was other than an obvious tragedy indicated from the onset. Wow... what a shocker. I agree that it was hauntingly powerful and we kept discussing it the next day. I did read some reviews afterwards on IMDB and noticed there were some that blamed the mother for the outcome, where others just indicated it was predisposed in Kevin. I don't want to say too much in case others want to see it without being spoiled, but was surprised by the divide among some of the reviews.
