I was never a big fan because I didn’t think it had much of a story. Though I will say that the staging was spectacular for its time. It’s a shame that they so badly messed up this movie.

Swimming against the tide, I absolutely loved this movie. I found it tremendously moving and exquisitely performed by an excellent cast although I wasn't impressed by Taylor Swift.

From the reviews, it tanked. Even some who were in it seem sheepish.
I saw the musical on stage and it was entertaining but not super great, and the songs seemed mostly unsingable.
I never considered seeing that again (saw Evita, Les Mis, Lion King and others multiple times)
