I still enjoyed this ep and was touched by it but just didnt feel it delivered the usual belly laughs I got teary eyed when Lily clapped at the end.

I have a seven year old in my Sunday school class. She is adopted from China. We had a lesson that involved Jacob and Esau. Since Esau was the first born he got all the property. The girl asked me "Does it count if you are adopted?" Not being a Bible scholar, I just said "Yes." But then I had to tell her the bad news, that in Bible times girls didn't count.

trivia: Carol Liefer wrote this eppy. She was writer and sometimes producer on Seinfeld...she was also 1st voted off on last celeb Apprentice I was surprised she wrote this ep, she isnt known for writing touching humor.

I started watching this past year, so I bought the Season 1 set and have been ROFLMAO. "The Incident" about Jay and Gloria's wedding was fantastic, Shelley Long is a brilliant actress!

This last episode, a repeat, is one of my favourites. Woman: His name is Bobby. Cam: That's a beautiful name. The baseball glove---Little Slugger. Hilarious!

Was so nice to have a new episode last night! I missed this show so much! Again it was Phil who gave me the most laughs. When he was talking on the phone regarding his ad on the minivan I nearly died laughing. "I'm not sure if the Drapes match the rugs..."

Given the show is only 22 minutes long, there were a lot of memorable lines. . . Loved it! It occured to me as I was watching that, even though comedy may be the main objective of the show, there are very profound messages and ideas about what real, true and healthy relationships are. Jay and his brother, Cam and Mitch, Claire and Phil. . . They all show real care and love for one another, though not always in way we have been "trained" to define love. I still tear up anytime I see the scene when Phil is talking to Hayley after she breaks up with Dylan. JMHO.

I didn't understand the drapes match the rugs innuendo.

Dogdoc, I'll try. He though the man was calling with questions about a house Phil had listed. The man was, however, asking about Claire or the daughter whose pics he saw on the van along with the phone number, thinking they were "escorts". When he asked about the drapes (hair on head) matching the rug (pubic hair) he was essentially asking if Claire was a natural blond, but Phil, thinking he was asking about a house, took him literally. Hope that helps.

Well done Holly! I just popped back in here so only just saw Dogdoc's question with horror as to how to explain so I was quite pleasantly surprised someone had already tackled the question.

Lily always looks drugged. I've never seen that child's face move. Anyone else notice that?

Gurlie, I agree. She's the most passive toddler I've ever seen.
