Holy moly. A bit ago during DWTS (not spoiler) they played a Castle commercial. It was FREAKING AWESOME! Very hot... Kate and Castle are seriously flirting over a pool table, things are getting hot, Kate is whispering 'Castle... Castle...' then she yells 'CASTLE'. They are really at a crime scene with a pool table and a dead guy between them. It was the BEST tv show commercial ever. :-)

Did anyone else notice the shoes / boots Beckett was wearing in the last 15 minutes of the show when she was running around the old warehouse and surrounding area looking for Shaw and chasing the criminal? Not spikes, but extremely high heels. Yeah, right!

Soooo many loose storylines last night. How did he get into that building before the firefighters got there? The place was fully engulfed in flames. She barely had a scratch on her nor a burn. Where was she staying at the end? She didn't have a home to go to, but she wasn't at the Castle apartment. (Might be something I missed while in the kitchen). For how good the first half was last week, I felt like the 2nd half was lacking.

I enjoyed the episode. When Castle was sitting there trying to find a way to explain that something was wrong.... "it's not the way I would have written it". Loved that because it felt like he thought that his instincts were not reliable... yet Beckett agreed with him. BTW - I think that Nathan Fillion and Dana Delany have chemistry, as well. They were husband and wife of Desperate Housewives, but Nathan's 'talents' were lost in that show. He's much better here.

I loved that commercial too! I also loved that Beckett trusted his instincts.

Nathan Fallon is perfect for this show. Last week, when he went skipping along behind Delaney doing the two thumbs up and grinning, I just about lost it. I'm always laughing at him so hard, we have to rewind. The whole ensemble works perfectly.

I agree about the few loose ends but overall this is a very good series. The chemistry among all of the actors is incredibly good and it has a nice combination of drama and humor. Dana Delany was a great guest star. I hope they have her back at some point.

I just heard that Castle has been renewed for another season. I really like this show, so it's good to hear!! http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2010/03/30/abc-renews-castle/#more-7127
quote:This just in: ABC has renewed Castle for a 22-episode third season! The Nathan Fillion-Stana Katic mystery-comedy has been on an upswing this season, with ratings surging double digits over season 2. Last night’s episode — the conclusion of the two-part Dana Delany event — attracted the show’s largest audience to date (14.5 million viewers) and gave ABC its best scripted performance in the time-slot in 14 years. Long story short: Castle’s on fire!
ETA: Thank goodness this isn't on NBC. They would have figured out some way to mess it up. Yes... I'm still bitter about Crossing Jordan.

Entertainment Weekly had an interview with Nathan Fillion. I wish their online version had the whole interview, but here's a snippet. http://popwatch.ew.com/2010/03/29/nathan-fillion-castle-lightsaber/ ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: You once admitted to keeping a lightsaber by your front door for home security. Who exactly were you expecting to break in — Jawas? NATHAN FILLION: You know, you never know who’s going to break into your home when you have a lightsaber handy… I had a party one night, and I was escorting the last of my guests to her car, and I looked down the street, and about four or five houses down, somebody was outside whippin’ a lightsaber around, a purple one. I said, Ohmygod, this is perfect. So I ran back into my house, got my lightsaber, it’s blue, hid it behind my back, and casually walked down the street. This kid, I’d put him in, like, his early 20s, sees me, and tries to act cool playing with the lightsaber. I said, “Hey, how you doin’?” He’s like, “Oh, hey. Good, good.” I said, “Oh, matter of fact, I’ve been looking for you.” [Lightsaber noise] And I whip out my lightsaber, and he doesn’t even laugh. I’m like, “Man, I walked down the whole block for this bit. It’s funnier than that.” I did scare the crap out of a couple that was standing on the sidewalk chatting right there. Then it was worth it.

I love Nathan Fillion. Last night when Kate was cooking breakfast in his kitchen, she's talking to his mother and he's behind her shoving hot eggs in his mouth. He didn't even have a line, but he stole the whole scene. He was so funny with his hot, hot, hot in the mouth schtick in the background while Kate and his mom were talking about who knows what. Anybody else notice that? I'm glad Kate's still alive. And oh yeah, Color, I did notice the boots. I always notice awesome footwear (ie Kalinda on The Good Wife).

Oh my. I don't think I've ever noticed anyone else's footwear on TV or in real life unless it's completely outrageous, like fish swimming in the heel or something.

This show is adorable. And Nathan Fillion is a regular tweeter (@NathanFillion) so we'll sometimes get behind the scenes teasers.
