Did anyone else watch? I enjoyed it. May not be all that different from previous "law" shows -- Julianna's character's personal and work lives and law firm / courtroom stories. Set in Chicago so wonder if they will do some location shooting like ER did. Last night at first I thought I recognized a building at street level in downtown Chicago, but the building address number on it was too high.

It was enjoyable enough. Nothing really jumped out as being spectacular, though. I had to sit here and think a minute to remember what it was about. It was funny seeing that actress again who played Delores Herbig on Dead Like Me. I like her. Too bad it was just a guest spot.

I wasn't all that thrilled with the show. I was hoping for more Chris Noth. To me it was just another lawyer show.

That was my problem with it, too, Twinkie. I wasn't expecting it to be a courtroom drama. If they would have even hinted that it was in the previews, I don't think I would have tuned in.

The show is about the Good Wife and how she holds herself and her kids together. It isn't about, and shouldn't be about her lying, cheating, dishonest husband. I knew from the promos that it would be heavy on her going back to work and dealing with people who wouldn't take her seriously in her job. I love it just the way it is with her problems at work and what she needs to worry about at home with just a smidge of her lying, cheating, dishonest husband. Seeing him in the background now and then suits me just fine. The show is about her. I hope they don't make it about her taking him back and giving in to his agenda.

I'm just glad the show started so I don't have to watch that same commercial for it 20 times a day.

I thought it was pretty good, but if it wasn't on after NCIS and NCIS LA, I'm not sure I'd bother looking for it on tv. It's not that it's not a good show, but I really don't need another one to watch, lol!

I mentioned in another area that I DID really enjoy it but not sure how they will keep it going for a whole season or longer. Seems it would have made a great movie. Middle-aged woman reentering the work place, competing with younger folks with this monkey on her back because of husband's situation. But will the show just be her settling into being a working mother and others occasionally throwing verbal daggers at her about her husband? Like I said, I did enjoy it and will keep watching, just not sure where they will take it to keep it interesting and not a weekly rehash of a single issue.

I was happily surprised with this show. I enjoyed it. It has the storyline of the Mom trying to hold things together, with the help of her Mother-in-Law, but it also has a mystery to solve. Of course, since I like it, most likely they'll cancell it in a couple of weeks. Seems like that always happens.

DH and I enjoyed it. He loves the courtroom drama, and I thought it was very well done. Loved seeing Rory's BF from the Gilmore Girls (what is his name?). Nice to see a strong, smart woman portrayed on TV.

Thanks, Bjm. He looked familiar. I didn't watch GG regularly in the later years.

Okay, I went over to the CBS site and looked it up. His name is Matt Czuchry and he played Logan on GG. Hope they give him a few more lines. I always loved him.

I was happily surprised about this show too. I recorded it not expecting to really like it but I did. (And was tickled at her daughter's ring tone - my daughter did the same thing...LOL!.) I set it to continue recording also.

I Am liking this show. The last two buildings I worked in in downtown Chicago made it into the aerial shot early in this eppie.

For me, this show is a winner for the season. Husband's scandal is going to come up in every episode, at least for a while.

I really like this show as well. As they get more into the characters, it gets even better.

I think the writing and character development on this show are good. Love that her son had those pictures of his dad on his computer and she thought he was looking at porn. I think he's going to find out that the pictures (and maybe the video) were faked. I'd love to see Chris Noth exhonerated (sp?), but then I guess that would kill the premise of the show. Good show so far. We're enjoying it.

Ironic, since the son was kind of looking at porn - just not the kind she thought. It took me awhile to place her boss as Knox from Dead Poets Society. I don't think I've seen him in anything since that movie. I love Christine Baranski. Flirting with the judge was great, even though it didn't really help. I'd like to see more of her character.
