Who can tell me what happened in the alternate ending of season 2. On Amazon I was able to see all of season one and season two up to and including episode 10. From what I understand, the series was basically wrapped up with episode 10. Then they got renewed so made a new episode (11) so the series could continue with more twists?? I am in the middle of season 3, episode one, but it would help if I knew what happened in that episode (2/11). Thanks!!

I watched it a few years ago on Acorn TV, and there were only 10 eps. Any of the season summaries from BBC or TV Guide are only showing 10 eps for S2. There are 6 seasons total.
LOVED this show, BTW. There were 3 seasons out when I started, and I watched them all in a week! (And I was teaching full-time and had 3-hour musical rehearsals 35 miles away! LOL)

There’s 6 seasons. I guess they were gonna cancel it after the second season. But didn’t and then they made an alternate ending for the last episode of season 2 so there’d be more undone storylines…

If you open youtube and search for "a place to call home alternate ending season 2" there's an alternate ending and then a side by side of the old and the new. It might be that the one you saw on Amazon is the new one, but that should tell you.
